The Model Year 2019 tractor from the REX 4 series sports a stylish paint job in a Metallic pale blue livery and mat black wheel rims – a finalist for the Tractor of the Year 2019 award in the “Best of Specialized” category – is the latest addition to the Landini range to be exhibited at Eima between 7-11 November in Bologna.
The Landini REX 4 is available in the cabbed F versions (6 models), GT and V versions (5 models), with horsepower ranging from 70 to 112, power is delivered by the proven Deutz AG engines equipped with EGR & DOC exhaust gas treatment system without DPF and no regeneration requirements. The Engine Memo Switch is standard equipment and adds convenience in operations requiring a repeatable engine rpm to be stored and recalled at the touch of a button.
Among the new features presented by Landini for the REX 4 series, noteworthy is the new ADS (Advanced Driving System), the innovative Hybrid Driver Assist System that uses cutting-edge mechatronic technologies to assist operator in manoeuvring both in field and road operation. This system also offers connection to satellite guidance, memorisation and control of wheel positions during slope and in-furrow operation, and offsets the effects of external stresses on steering accuracy.
Driving comfort is enhanced by the steering becoming stiffer while increasing speed – a technology used in cars – and by fast centred wheels return.
Optimal efficiency in field operation is ensured by a multi-function all-in-one joystick controlling hydraulic circuits (up to 7 electro-hydraulic spool valves), electronic management of daily hours of operation, field and service registers via Landini Fleet Management protocol, as well as by the availability of real-time remote diagnosis.
The cabins feature CAT 4 protection and a new pressurisation system that insulates the operator’s area and protects it from harmful substances during spraying application. The system operates on the inputs from an on-board control unit that monitors internal pressure and the efficiency of the charcoal filters.
The version with suspended front axle is equipped with wet disc brakes and the differential lock is electro-hydraulically controlled for guaranteed efficiency. The axle offers a 55° steering angle to facilitate manoeuvring in all terrain conditions.
Hydraulic power is provided by a dual pump with 28 l/min for the steering and a 50 l/min pump for 3pt hitch and spool valves. As an option, a triple pump is available to provide 41 l/min for rear equipment and hitch and 41 l/min for the midmount spool valves.
At EIMA, Landini will be unveiling the new REX 3 F Series, available in three models, with horsepower from 55 to 75 and Kohler 2.5-litre 4-cylinder 16-valve engines equipped with DOC systems that require no regeneration.
At a wheelbase of 1,950 millimetres, a weight of 2,000 kg and a rear lifting capacity of 2,300 kg, this tractor is ideal for vineyards, horticulture, greenhouses and for pruning. Its strengths are compact design with steering wheel height as low as 1,280 mm.
The in house produced mechanical transmission offers 16 + 16 gears, creeper equipped as standard and easy to use shift levers make it comfortable to drive.
Excellent hydraulics provide 28 l/min for steering and 50 l/min for the hitch and up to three mechanical remote valves.
The platform version will be on exhibit at the trade show, a low-profile cab version will also be available.
Landini will premier its crawlers of the Trekker 4 Series in the standard, orchard and mountain versions at EIMA. Trekker 4 F and M models offer horsepower ranging from 76 to 102, while Trekker 4 C comes with 99 and 107 horsepower ratings. They are equipped with Deutz AG engines, namely a 2.9 litre 4-cylinder, 16-valve turbocharged aftercooled engine on the F and M models, and a TCD 3.6 turbocharged aftercooled engine on the C version. Both engines feature an exhaust gas treatment system with DOC that requires no regeneration, and provide emission levels compliant with Stage IIIB, Tier 4i.
The new hood design lends a more aggressive look to these models, which are equipped with the proven 16 + 8 mechanical transmission with overdrive and creeper, all of which are manufactured at Argo Tractors.
These crawler tractors are perfectly suited for extreme working conditions, meeting such requirements as high towing capacity and excellent grip on steep slopes. Rear hitch capacity is 2,650 kg and can be raised to 3,400 kg with 2 additional cylinders.
The operator’s station has been redesigned by introducing a new dashboard, revised control ergonomics and a digital instruments panel. Driving comfort has been further improved thanks to the new air-suspended seat.
Fuel tank capacity has been increased up to 85 litres for orchard and mountain versions and to 95 litres in the standard C version.
Lubricated or semi-lubricated track chains are available in sizes ranging from 360mm to 450mm.
