Two Fendt tractors have received the AE50 2026 Awards, organised by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineering (ASABE) in the run-up to the National Farm Machinery Show.
Each February, a jury of agricultural technology experts presents the AE50 Award to 50 selected agricultural technology developments or products at the ASABE Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference (AETC). The award-winning solutions are characterised by the highest level of innovation, significant technical progress and market influence. The conference traditionally takes place in the run-up to a major trade fair. For the 2026 edition, Fendt’s 800 Vario and 1000 Vario tractors were named among the AE50 Award winners.

About Fendt’s 800 Vario and 1000 Tractors
The fifth generation of the Fendt 800 Vario has undergone a total redesign. With its 6-cylinder AGCO Power CORE80 engine with an 8-litre displacement, the tractor delivers up to 343 hp. The jury was impressed by its high-performance technologies and low fuel consumption, including VarioDrive, the fully integrated VarioGrip tyre pressure control system, the optional double pump system for high hydraulic power, the self-cleaning engine air filter, the new cab with FendtONE, and the innovative UltraVision lighting concept.
The fourth generation of the world’s largest standard tractor, the Fendt 1000 Vario, offers a powerful 550 hp engine in a compact, manoeuvrable frame with VarioDrive technology. To work particularly efficiently, the power levels can be reduced to suit the task and attachment at hand. This reduces fuel consumption and protects the attachments. All four models in the series can be fitted with the VarioGrip tyre pressure control system. For added comfort, the cab can now be fitted with footrests, a massage seat and the new UltraVision lighting concept.
Ten of the innovations that have received the AE50 Award are eligible to compete for the Davidson Prize. Three innovations will be selected to receive this prize, which will be announced during Commodity Classic 2026 in San Antonio, Texas, USA, from 25 to 27 February.
