Ecorobotix’s ARA sprayer has generated immense interest among farmers in the US. Its advanced technology, including UHP-Sprayer and AI-based software, reduces CO2 emissions and environmental footprint. ARA’s sales have exceeded projections, indicating significant demand in the US market.
ARA was launched in 2021 by Ecorobotix in Switzerland and has exponentially grown its success in 13 European countries and most recently expanded geographically to Canada, South America, and the USA.
ARA is a combination of Ecorobotix’s advanced UHP-Spray-Technology and AI-driven Plant-by-Plant software: this system can scan the field in less than 250 milliseconds, capture real-time imagery, identify the specific crops or weeds the farmer has chosen to treat and execute a spray at a precision of 2.4 by 2.4 inches, all while minimizing drift.
ARA is currently primarily focused on targeted herbicide application, which results in reduced phytotoxicity and enhanced overall crop yields. This translates to substantial profit increases for farmers while also reducing herbicide volumes by an impressive 70-95%. Apart from herbicides, ARA’s versatility extends to the application of liquid fertilizers, growth treatments, insecticides, and fungicides.
Last year, Ecorobotix expanded into the US market by establishing its US subsidiary, Ecorobotix Inc. The company also became a member of the WGA in California. The ARA was showcased for the first time in the US at three different events: the 2023 Farm Tech Days, Farm Progress Show, and FIRA USA.
