Phil Catley is Kubota (UK)’s ground care product and key account manager. He joined the company in 2019 from sales roles with professional and commercial ground care machinery suppliers.
Initially employed as ground care dealer manager for the south, Phil was promoted to his current position in August 2020.
“I’ve always been interested in machinery, whether it’s finding the perfect solution for the professional groundsman or helping landowners take care of gardens and parkland,” he comments.
His role involves new product introductions, from configuring machines and adding them to the dealer intranet system, to providing sales training and product familiarisation.
“I support the dealer network and help with any queries that they have on ground care products, whether it’s an all-new range or an update to tried-and-tested machines,” he says.
Work on key accounts involves looking after the needs of UK-wide ground care businesses, from leading contractor groups to the National Trust, and the two main caravan site operators explains Phil.
“We’re aiming to build relationships with more national companies who can really benefit from Kubota’s extensive ground care range.”
