Väderstad updates the pneumatic seed drill Spirit 400C/S, to provide added benefits in the farm. The new Spirit 400C/S brings great seeding precision, user-friendly electronics, and high field performance to the 4-meter seed drill segment.
The new Spirit 400C/S includes the innovative E-Control control system including ISOBUS Task Control, updated hydraulics, SeedEye blockage monitoring, increased accessibility, and an updated design.
The Spirit family is known to provide impressive precision at high working speeds on the field. The new update of Spirit 400C/S makes it benefit from key features from the larger models in the Spirit range,
says Björn Jeansson, Commercial Product Manager for seed drills, at Väderstad.
The four-meter wide Spirit 400C/S is equipped with a high-capacity hopper with an integrated fan. With two platforms and an open machine design, it provides great access to all components throughout the machine. With updated hydraulics, Spirit 400C/s is delivered with active seed colter pressure, adjustable following harrow pressure, as well as automatic headland sequence control.
In the field, the driver has full control over the seeding operation via the iPad-based control system Väderstad E-Control. Equipping Spirit 400C/S with SeedEye blockage monitoring, the seed and fertilizer output can be visualized in real-time. If a deviation should occur, the SeedEye system gives an immediate warning so that any impact on the drilling can be quickly solved,
says Björn Jeansson.
The new Spirit 400C/S is available as the seed-only version Spirit 400S, as well as the combi versions Spirit 400C FIX and Spirit 400C InLine.
The FIX version places the fertilizer in 5cm wide strips at 125mm row spacing, in front of every seed row. While Spirit 400C InLine is designed to apply a low starter fertilizer rate in a separate outlet together with the seeds in the seed colter,
says Björn Jeansson.
The new Spirit 400C/S will go into production in February 2021.
