Available in 2 versions, F (orchard) and GE (low orchard), the Rex3 has 3 engines delivering 55, 68 and 75 horsepower, with torque reserves of 50%, 45% and 32% respectively.

The choice fell on the new 4-cylinder, 16-valve, 2.5-litre Kohler engines because of their compactness and the solutions offered, which allow Stage V emission limits to be met, thanks to DOC systems without regeneration that in no way affect the productivity and efficiency of the machine.

Super-compact size for narrow and low rows

The biggest advantages of the new Rex3 F are undoubtedly its manoeuvrability, its easy handling even on slopes and its ease of use thanks to its ultra-compact dimensions:

● the extremely short wheelbase of 1950 mm,
● minimum ground clearance of 213 mm,
● external width ranging from 1350 mm to 1617 mm,
● minimum height of the steering wheel from the ground on the GE platform version of 1,256 mm
● weight without the ballast of 2,200 kg

These features make the range an ideal solution for use in vineyards and orchards, as well as vegetable and greenhouse operations.

The Rex3 F is an extremely versatile range, allowing the use of different types of accessories, even front-mounted. The tractor can be equipped with a front lift with a maximum lifting capacity at the ball-end of up to 1,000 kg, while the geometry of the under-cab frame is specially designed for ventral installation.

Low Profile cab for working between rows

The Rex3 F is now available with an optional Low Profile cab, specially designed for sloping operations and low passages. Built with a single body structure, it is 1.16 m wide at the base, which reached 0.86 m at roof level, for a minimum overall ground clearance of 1.87 m. The wide-opening door provides easy access to the passenger compartment, for maximum comfort, also thanks to:

● the single body cab structure
● minimum overall ground clearance 1785 mm
● tiltable steering wheel,
● the multifunctional digital dashboard,
● no levers on the central tunnel,

The Low-Profile cab offers wide visibility in all directions, even for lateral operations, working on slopes and in greenhouses, maximising the possibilities of use for this range of tractors.

Rex3 F transmission and hydraulics

The transmission built by Argo Tractors has 4 gears and 4 ranges: using the mechanical reverse shuttle with control at the steering wheel with creeper, it can reach up to 16 forward and 16 reverse gears, for a speed range of 0.4 to 40 km/h.

The front axle with electro-hydraulic engagement maximises traction on any terrain and offers a steering angle of up to 55°, while a 50-litre diesel fuel tank ensures a full all-day operating range.

The hydraulics have been designed to handle professional use and offer 30 litres/min for steering and 50 litres/min for spool valves, up to 3 and with the possibility of bringing an outlet to the front. The mechanically controlled rear hydraulic hitch can be equipped with ELS (Ergonomic Lift System) and anti-dumping system, reaching a lifting capacity of up to 2700 kg at the ball-ends.

The 24-inch rear wheels are also available with Waffle-type rims, which are ideal for high loads while at the same time guaranteeing the best concentricity between rim and tyre to minimise vibration, thus maximising comfort when travelling on the road with equipment in tow, also thanks to a maximum allowed tractor weight of 4,000 kg.

New technologies

The new Rex3 F is equipped with the Engine Memo Switch for engine speed management, allowing you to store and quickly recall settings when passing from one activity to another.
This extensive overview of the Rex3 F Series’ specifications is completed by its perfect compatibility with Landini’s fleet management protocol.

Landini REX4 Electra – Evolving Hybrid features an innovative electric front-wheel drive with independent wheels, brake energy recovery, a cabin with electronically controlled semi-active suspension, and a semi-automatic transmission that lets you select speed using a joystick.

Of this original project, Argo Tractors has developed both the mechanical part and the electrical components. REX4 Electra is equipped with a 110 hp Diesel engine, Reverse Power Shuttle transmission, and 3 Powershift speeds (H-M-L).

The most significant new features include a fully electric front-wheel drive with a suspended axle, sporting two independent electric motors and associated sensors, electronic controls, generator, and battery dedicated to energy recovery under braking and deceleration.

The entire system is controlled by the PMS (Power Management System), which supervises the operation of all devices, including the battery and controls motor and generator via their respective inverters.

This modern approach made it possible to create a hybrid tractor in which the Diesel engine powers the front electric motors through generator and battery, and continuously “talks” with the conventional mechanical rear final drives. The result is basically a parallel hybrid with a system that is independent of the mechanical ratio between the rear and front wheels of the tractor.

This combination of technological improvements guarantees 10% fuel savings, a 15% wider steering angle, and greater stability in transport mode, fully integrating with the current electric steering system.

A new electronically controlled cab suspension is also included to increase comfort, thanks to a semi-active system similar to that already available on high-end tractors. Suspended on four points, the cab is equipped with two passive front suspension systems, while two anti-dumping hydraulic shock absorbers governed by an electric signal reduce vibration at the rear. A control unit detects tractor movement and rough ground and regulates damping in real-time and continuously. Again, the system can be fairly described as a hybrid, a balanced compromise between a “soft” behavior to take up vibration and a “stiffer” set up to prevent the cab from hitting the travel stops.

The improvement in comfort can be clearly appreciated both in the field and on the road, with a 15% less vibration transmitted to the driver.

A semi-automatic transmission uses actuators to operate the transmission rods. A multi-function joystick in the cab replaces the traditional speed lever. The electronic control unit (ECU) receives a change-speed input from the joystick and the data about tractor status from the sensors. When the conditions required for changing speed are met, the ECU signals the actuators to move the transmission control to the desired position. The advantages are obvious: fully automated shifting, one less mechanical lever in the cab (drive by wire), resulting in less noise and pollutants.

REX4 Electra – Evolving Hybrid – is yet more evidence of how passionately Landini continues to work on renewing agricultural mechanization, and remains an undisputed leader in the sector worldwide.

Landini 7 Robo-Six Series

World première for Landini with the new 225hp Stage V 7-230 Robo-Six. The 6.7-litre 24-valve engine is a Stage V that uses the DOC and SCR (Selective Catalyst Reduction) systems for exhaust gas treatment. Thanks to these improvements, the 7 Series is at the top for innovation, style, comfort and configurability.

The tractor includes a brand new and more attractive styling for the hood and 12 new LED working lights on the roof that, in addition to the 8 more on the vehicle, assure a 360° visibility.

Landini 7-230 Robo-Six features all the comfort, performance and technological innovation that make the vehicle user friendly and efficient. Its key strengths remain the high quality of the materials used, attention to detail and the spacious and quiet cab.

Also new are the electrically assisted tilting movement of the steering wheel through a switch and the lever for adjusting the height.

The DSM (12″ touchscreen display) includes new menus to configure the tractor functions and user dashboards to show consumption and worked areas.

The exclusive high-spec Dynamic version is not the only one available, the Active models sharing the same superior engines and transmissions, offer entry level configuration. The Dynamic version is equipped with a 123 l/min CCLS closed centre hydraulic system (160 l/min as an option), a maximum of 8 electro-hydraulic spool valves and a 3-way diverter valve.

The 12″ DSM touchscreen monitor can manage a rear/front camera and Advanced HMF. The Active version has a 123 l/min Closed Centre hydraulic system with mechanically controlled spool-valves.

Driving accuracy is enhanced by the satellite guidance options provided by Topcon Agriculture. Also fitted on steering ready units is the Eazysteer system which reduces the number of turns of the steering wheel from lock to lock making it faster for the operator. Operator comfort is also optimised by the either mechanical cab suspension or the electro-hydraulic Semi-Active Anti-Damping system with variable ride comfort settings.

Engine Brake system guarantees efficiency in transport mode, in addition to the throttle valve, enables the operator to reduce engine rpm by operating the engine brake together with the rear brakes.

The Stop & Action system allows the operator to simply stop the vehicle by pressing the brake pedals that double as de-clutch controls, enabling the Robo-Six transmission to provide a smooth ride comparable to that of a continuously variable transmission. The APS (Auto Powershift) system also adds driving comfort, guaranteeing optimal and automatic range and gear shifting thanks to speed-matching and load control.

The Landini Fleet Management is a system designed to measure the efficiency of the vehicle in terms of fuel consumption, guarantees the high technological level of this tractor operating hours and service reminders, all integrated in a portal that allows fleet managers to maximise use and monitor operating costs.

Landini REX4

Landini REX4 features the Advanced Driving System, an innovative hybrid assisted-driving system that, thanks to cutting-edge mechatronic equipment, helps the operator in all manoeuvres in the field and on the road, where driving comfort is also improved both by the stiffening of the steering depending on the speed at the time and by the automatic return of the wheels to their central position. The system can also be connected to satellite guidance, memorisation and control of wheel positions during slope and in-furrow operation and offsets the effects of external stresses on steering accuracy.

In Verona GT, S and GE versions are displayed. Power ranges from 70 to 112 horsepower thanks to Deutz AG engines equipped with an EGR & DOC exhaust gas treatment system without DPF and therefore without regeneration. The Engine Memo Switch is standard equipment and offers agility and convenience in operations that require a specific engine rpm to be stored and recalled.

Optimal efficiency in field operation is ensured by a multi-function all-in-one joystick controlling hydraulic services (up to 7 electro-hydraulic spool-valves), electronic management of daily hours of operation, field and service registers via Landini Fleet Management.

Available for cabins is the CAT 4 protection which, thanks to pressurisation system, insulates the operator’s area and protects it from harmful substances during chemical application. The system operates on the inputs from an on-board control unit that monitors internal pressure and the efficiency of the charcoal filters.

The suspended axle option includes two front disc brakes and electro-hydraulic diff-lock. The steering angle ranges up to a maximum of 55° to facilitate manoeuvring in all terrains.

Hydraulic power is provided by a dual pump with 28 l/min capacity for the steering and a 50 l/min for hitch and control valves. As an option, a triple pump is available to provide 41 l/min for rear valves and hitch and 41 l/min for the midmount spool-valves, for a total of 110 l/min.

Landini REX3 F

Landini REX3 F is available in three models, with power ranging from 55hp to 75hp, Kohler 4-cylinder, 16-valve 2.5-litre engines equipped with DOC systems without regeneration. The unit in Verona will fit an optional Low Profile cab that makes the tractor more comfortable to use.

 Wheelbase of 1,950 mm, weight of 2,100 kg, maximum rear lifting capacity of 2,700 kg, make this tractor ideal for vineyards, horticulture, greenhouses and for pruning jobs. Its strengths are compact design and reduced ground clearance, with steering wheel height of 1,256 mm.

The Argo Tractors mechanical transmission offers 16 + 16 speeds with standard creeper and reverse shuttle at the steering wheel.

Excellent hydraulics provide 28 l/min capacity for steering and 50 l/min for the rear hitch and one or up to three mechanically operated spool-valves.

Landini 5 Series

The 5 Series (available in three models, 100, 110 and 120) is the generation of Medium Utility tractors. Extremely versatile, it is suited for any type of activity, from operations like soil preparation, seeding and management of the entire haymaking cycle to livestock activities. The 5 Series is the perfect choice for medium-sized companies that operate mostly independently and want to make cost-effective investments in their machinery.

The engines are Deutz AG, 4 cylinders, 16 valves, 3.6 litre, Turbo Intercooler with Common Rail electronic injection and EGR + DOC system to comply with the Stage 3B / Tier 4 Interim anti-pollution regulations.

The newly designed Total View Slim cab allows a 360° view and more comfortable on board life thanks to its large dimensions and perfectly soundproofed interior equipped with automotive quality materials. The rear and front openable windows have facilitated natural ventilation.

Eight transmission configurations available, from Speed Four with 12 FW + 12 RV with mechanical reverse shuttle to T-Tronic with 48 FW + 16 RV with electro-hydraulic reverse shuttle, HML and Creeper. 2 or 4 speed PTO available.

Landini 5 Series is also the ideal choice for all raised beds thanks to the availability of the High Clearance (HC) version, with power span from 90hp to 107hp.

Tires that can be fitted are 9.5R48 or 13.6R38.

The wheelbase is 2,355 mm, the weight is 3,800 kg and the Gross Vehicle Weight is 5,400 kg.

Landini offers a wide and representative range of products dedicated to the specialists, among which the REX 4 Model Year 2019 stands out, fresh from the success of EIMA 2018. With an original light blue metallic livery and matt black rims, Landini REX 4 has conquered in these months the favor of the public and the experts, also as a finalist of the Tractor of the Year 2019 award for the “Best of Specialized” category. At EIMA he was awarded the Technical Innovation Award for the Advanced Driving System, a project that increases operator comfort, focusing attention on the work in progress rather than on driving the vehicle. The hybrid system of assisted driving, through cutting-edge mechatronic solutions, facilitates the operator in all maneuvers in the field and on the road, allowing the stiffening of the steering based on speed and the automatic return of the wheels to the central position after the turn . ADS guarantees the full connection to the satellite guide, the storage and control of the position of the wheels during sloping and furrow machining and the cancellation of the effects of external stresses on the tractor directionality. In addition, through a single terminal, it is possible to manage the functions of the machine in any condition, since the single monitor in the cabin reconfigures itself independently based on the functions used.

REX 4 in the F versions and in the newborn version S, always with a cabin but narrower to facilitate the passages in the rows with wide foliage, is available in 6 models, while 5 are the models for the GT and V cab versions. The powers vary from 70 up to 112 horses, with 2.9 lt Deutz AG engines equipped with EGR & DOC exhaust gas treatment system without DPF and therefore without regeneration. As standard the Engine Memo Switch adds comfort to operations that require you to memorize and recall a specific number of engine revs. The suspended axle version is equipped with 2 oil-immersed disc brakes and the differential lock is guaranteed 100% by electro-hydraulics. To facilitate maneuvering in all terrain conditions the axle offers a steering angle of 55 °.

Transmissions with mechanical or hydraulic reverser and 4 gears for 3 ranges with the possibility of adding two options: Hi-Lo and High-Medium-Low, in addition to the creeper. Wide choice of PTO options, available in mechanical or hydraulic versions, depending on the reverser, and with two or four speeds (540, 540 Eco, 1000 and 1000 Eco).

Hydraulic system, available with double pump 55 + 30 liters / min. (60 + 30 liters / min. In the GT version) or triple pump 25 + 55 + 30 liters / min. Distributors (up to 7), flow selector and flow divider are part of the optional equipment and the controls can be mechanical and / or electro-hydraulic. The efficiency of the operations can be optimized by controlling the hydraulic utilities through an all-in-one multifunction joystick, by the electronic management of the working hours, the field register and the Landini Fleet Management protocol maintenance services, as well as the availability of telediagnosis in real time.

In the cabins with protection category CAT 4 a new pressurization system is introduced that isolates the driving area in defense from harmful elements released during treatments with phytosanitary products. The system works thanks to an on-board sensor that signals the correct maintenance of the internal pressure and the efficiency of the activated carbon filters.

Agility and compactness: Landini Serie 2

Landini Series 2, versatile and compact, is ideal for use in orchards / vineyards, greenhouse horticulture, open field and for municipalities. The models are three and develop powers of 44, 48 and 51hp thanks to the Yanmar TNV 4-cylinder and Turbo engines. At the base change (12AV + 12RM) the creeper can be associated upon request, thus bringing the total ratios to 16AV + 16RM. In line with the new construction standards, the instrumentation is simple and intuitive. The modern 4-post cab with ergonomic controls in the forward and lateral position with respect to the steering wheel guarantees visibility in favor of maneuverability. The operator’s comfort level is also high thanks to the powerful climate control system. The Series 2 is available in the standard version and in a new “GE” configuration (platform only) which, thanks to a careful design of the rear gearboxes and of the platform, it allows to obtain a 95mm low bed, a guarantee of performance in spaces limited in height and width, such as in awning or greenhouse vineyards. The 48 l / min hydraulic pump is ideal for serving the 1,200 kg capacity rear lift, the 2 or 3 rear distributors and, on request, a 400 kg front lift.

Landini Series 4: absolute versatility

Landini Serie 4 thanks to the characteristics of power, compactness and versatility that distinguish it, is able to guarantee great productivity in multiple applications both in the open field as in the rows. Six are the models that comprise it: the three models 4-095, 4-100 and 4-110 equipped with 4-cylinder Turbo engines with Common Rail electronic injection, 3.6-liter Tier 4 Interim Deutz engines of 90, 99 and 107 hp and further three models of 69, 75 and 88 hp (4-070 / 4 080 / 4-090) always powered by Deutz but with 2.9-liter Tier 4 final.

Landini Serie 4 has an Argo Tractors transmission with epicycloidal gearboxes and front axle with optional integrated braking and DT electro-hydraulic engagement. Pitch of 2,230 mm for the three high-power models, and 2,100 mm for the three attack models. The hydraulics offers a basic 28 + 49 l / min pump for the latter and up to 32 + 57 l / min for the three higher power models. Configurable up to 5 distributors of which 3 rear and 2 ventral controlled by joystick, for the use of the front lift or a front loader. At 2 speeds and synchronizable with advancement, the PdF is used.

Advanced Driving System is an innovative hybrid driver assist system that employs cutting-edge mechatronic technologies to assist operators in manoeuvring both in field and road operation, that makes steering stiffer as a function of speed and automatically returns the front wheels to straight-ahead after a headland turn.

The new technological solution guarantees full compatibility with the satellite guidance systems developed by Topcon Agriculture, allowing the memorisation and control of wheel positions when working on sloping land and ploughing in-furrow, and offsets the effects of external stresses on steering accuracy. The system also assists the operator while driving on the road or at high speed thanks to the steering stiffening system, which automatically engages to a degree proportional to the tractor’s speed. This new technology further reduces the driving performance gap between a tractor and a normal road vehicle.

In addition, the operator can easily manage implement settings from a single terminal, as the monitor configuration automatically changes according to the functions used.

Optimal efficiency in field operation is ensured by a multi-function all-in-one joystick controlling hydraulics (up to 7 electro-hydraulic spool valves), electronic management of daily hours of operation, field and service registers via Landini Fleet Management protocol, as well as by the availability of real-time remote diagnosis. All of this can be conveniently managed from the tractor fleet manager’s desk.

Introducing this technology brings many advantages. Firstly, the operator is free to concentrate on implement functions, while the tractor ECU takes care of driving, recording hours of operation, consumption and service requirements thanks to the IoT service, a world première in specialty tractors. Additional advantages benefit the fleet manager, who relies on a web platform to manage maintenance scheduling and troubleshooting, while maintaining a record of a tractor’s workload, efficiency and service history.
