“Get ready, because the CR11 combine is hitting the road, making appearances from Louisville to Saskatoon and beyond.

The CR11 combine is more than a machine; it’s the new standard, redefining what we expect of combine capacity and production. This debut tour is an opportunity to experience the CR11 combine first-hand.”

states Curtis Hillen, combine marketing manager for New Holland.

The 2024 CR11 Combine Tour

Throughout the coming months, there are opportunities to catch a glimpse, climb in the cab or take the CR11 combine for a test drive on its barnstorming tour of the U.S. and Canada.

The CR11 combine debut tour starts at the National Farm Machinery Show (February 14-17 in Louisville, Kentucky), followed by stops at:

Commodity Classic 2024, February 28 – March 1 in Houston, Texas

Ag in Motion, July 16-18 in Langham, Saskatchewan

Ag PhD Field Day, July 25 in Baltic, South Dakota

Farm Progress Show, August 27-29 in Boone, Iowa

Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, September 10-12 in Woodstock, Ontario

Husker Harvest Days, September 10-12 in Wood River, Nebraska

Agri-Trade Equipment Expo, November 13-15 in Red Deer, Alberta

In addition, the New Holland team and local dealers will be hosting regional events at dealerships and fields to showcase and demo the CR11 combine.

Setting a New Standard for Harvest

The CR11 combine is the largest and most productive combine in the field. It is designed with four pillars – increased productivity, maximum grain savings, superior residue management, and enhanced uptime to reduce the total cost of harvesting.

“With the expansion of farms and fields, the CR11 combine proves instrumental in enhancing efficiency during the limited harvest window.

It offers greater capacity, minimized downtime and improved straw spread and chop patterns, resulting in reduced losses. Consequently, this allows us to operate with fewer combines and maximize our utilization of labour resources.”

explains Jordan Kambeitz, CEO and president of Kambeitz Farms in Lajord, Saskatchewan.

In a class of its own, the CR11 combine is an unmatched combination of performance, size and technology that achieves productivity. It touts:

A 775-horsepower FPT Cursor 16 engine, a 75-horsepower increase compared to the CR10 combine.

A 567-bushel grain tank, holding 38% more bushels than the next biggest class of CR combine.

A 6.0 bushel per second unload rate that can empty the grain tank in 100 seconds.

25% fewer drive components and elimination of all drive chains and up to a 60-foot cutting width.

2×24-inch rotors, with a new, larger and fully automated TwinClean double-cleaning shoe using automated cross-distribution control that increases cleaning capacity and helps achieve loss levels close to zero.

New residue management system with remote in-cab control of counterknife bank for customized operations.

The new IntelliSpread system uses radars for closed-loop residue spreading automation. This ensures a uniform, full-width spread performance, regardless of changes in wind or crop conditions.

A new automatic de-slug procedure that enables operators to clear blockages in seconds without leaving the cab.

The machine comes with PLM Intelligence features like an IntelliView 12 display, an IntelliSteer guidance system, telematics, and remote screen viewing. You can also opt for NutriSense NIR sensor for real-time crop composition monitoring to make informed decisions during harvest, storage, and sales planning.

“CLAAS managed to achieve growth despite the supply-side bottlenecks and the pandemic. We even registered a double-digit rise in revenue and a significant improvement in profitability across all world regions,”

said Thomas Böck, chair of the CLAAS Group Executive Board.

Last year’s growth in North America and Eastern Europe has been joined by the core markets in Western and Central Europe, including Germany and France, which are important for Claas. The United Kingdom also experienced major growth, despite the significant uncertainty surrounding Brexit.

Spending on research and development at a record level

Expenditure on research and development set a new record with €262 million (previous year: €237 million). Investments in innovative electronic architectures and the digitization of agricultural processes remained important focus areas.

Investments in fixed assets totaling €138 million (previous year: €131 million) continued at a high level. In Le Mans, the Future Factory for tractors was reopened in May following an extensive renovation. A modernization project of even larger proportions at the combined harvester production facilities in Harsewinkel, Germany, was also finished. Over 15,000 m² of production space was completely refurbished in just five months. State-of-the-art AGV transport systems are now used in the production areas of both factories, increasing both flexibility and efficiency.

Successful product campaign With

With innovative products and a strong sales team, Claas was able to acquire new customers and convince existing customers to stay with the company. Launched in 2019, the product campaign for harvesting technology continued with the new TRION combine series introduction throughout Europe and many other regions. The introduction adds a number of new models to the mid-range segment that is unparalleled in this combined harvester class.

There have also been significant developments in the tractor segment, where a number of new fuel-saving and performance-enhancing features were introduced. There was also a wealth of innovation in the forage harvesting segment, which included an extensive technical update for the QUADRANT large square baler.

Outlook

The supply situation and price development in the procurement markets present a greater risk compared to last year. Overall, the company anticipates stable demand for agricultural machinery in the most important sales regions during the 2022 fiscal year. Despite these uncertainties, Claas expects a rise in revenue and a slightly lower result in a year-on-year comparison.

Claas USED simplifies the search for pre-owned CLAAS equipment and special financing.

Claas announces Claas USED, a pre-owned equipment program for North America that combines the performance and efficiency of a Claas machine, with professionally inspected and protected “Certified” units and special low-rate financing through Claas Financial Services.

Supply chain disruptions and financial constraints have affected many growers across North America. Now, growers can get the right Claas equipment — from combines and tractors to forage harvesters and hay tools — at a price that fits their operation. The Claas pre-owned equipment can be accessed through CLAASUsedEquipment.com.

“Every operation has different equipment needs, but today’s business-minded ag professional should not have to compromise on efficiency or the bottom line. By combining the superior power and efficiency of Claas machines at a pre-owned price with a one-year protection plan and excellent low-rate financing, growers who take advantage of the Claas Certified Pre-Owned program can have the best of both worlds,”

says Allen Miller, North American Remarketing Manager.

Buy with Confidence

To uphold confidence in all purchases, Claas has incorporated a Certified Pre-Owned equipment standard within the Claas USED program. All certified machines have been inspected, repaired, and approved based on rigorous criteria by Claas Certified Technicians. This gives growers the kind of performance, efficiency, and engineering that is expected from a Claas machine. Certified Pre-Owned equipment includes the following benefits:

Comprehensive machine inspection performed by Claas Certified Technicians.

Repairs made with Claas ORIGINAL parts.

One-year drive-train protection plan, with the option to upgrade to a comprehensive protection plan.

New Protection Plans

The Claas USED program also provides affordable protection for pre-owned combines, forage harvesters, and tractors with flexible protection plans.

Claas USED Drive Train Protection comes standard on all Claas Certified Pre-Owned machines. It’s also available for purchase on select Claas used combines, forage harvesters, and tractors that meet strict age and hour requirements.

MAXI CARE Comprehensive Extended Protection is an optional layer of coverage for Claas Certified Pre-Owned machines meeting the strictest inspection standards. This added protection is available for purchase on select Claas used combines, forage harvesters, or tractors.

Shop Online

CLAASUsedEquipment.com is the one-stop portal for browsing Claas Pre-Owned equipment. Whether looking for a combine, forage harvester, tractor, baler, or hay tool, growers can find their next machine in minutes. Easily search for pre-owned Claas equipment to find the right fit for any operation and connect with dealerships for questions and purchases.

Great Financing Offers

Co-branded combine draper headers will be offered at Case IH dealers across the globe

Case IH has announced a partnership with MacDon Industries Ltd. to manufacture co-branded draper headers designed for Case IH Axial-Flow combines. The new line of draper headers will be available to order in early 2022 at Case IH Dealers on a worldwide basis, with the exception of South America.

“Case IH and MacDon have a shared legacy and goal of making harvesting easier and more productive for North American farmers. By pairing Case IH’s industry-leading portfolio of Axial-Flow combines and a robust dealer network with MacDon’s draper header expertise and products, we aim to deliver a best-in-class harvesting package for producers,”

said Scott Harris, Case IH global president.

Based in Manitoba, Canada, MacDon has manufactured high-performance harvesting equipment for more than 70 years. Like Case IH, the company is known for working directly with producers and custom harvesters to make equipment that helps producers efficiently harvest crops and fuel the world.

“Innovating to help producers harvest more of what they grow is a top priority. We look forward to collaborating with MacDon to offer a high-efficiency draper header-combine solution that raises the bar for harvesting productivity,”

said Harris.

The Grimme receiving hoppers of the RH- and RH-Combi series have been updated with various new features.

Storing according to tuber size

In order to grade different sizes of potatoes and onions during storage and processing, web graders are used. Optionally, the new web grader, type WG 900, can be permanently integrated into the receiving hoppers RH 12 Combi, RH 20 Combi, and RH 24 Combi. This new combination of two coordinated machines makes it possible to combine crop intake, soil cleaning, picking, sorting, and dividing the crop into two different sizes with just one machine. And all of this happens with an optimal, straight-aligned crop flow.

Receiving hopper, type RH 12-60 Combi with an integrated web grader WG 900.; Source:Grimme

Protect the operator terminal reliably against dust and moisture.; Source: Grimme

Merging conveyor belt for all impurities and trash.

For an improved, flexible use of the receiving hoppers RH 20 and
RH 24, the PU-rollers of the pre-grading unit can be used in heavy, sticky soil conditions not only for tuber grading, but also for cleaning off adhering soil. An optionally integrated merging conveyor transfers the trash, which is separated by the rollers of the grading unit, onto the soil cross conveyor.

The advantage is that merged amounts of trash are discharged all at once onto a single downstream following conveyor. If the pre-grading unit is only to be used for pre-grading (fractioning), then the pre-grading cross conveyor can simply be pushed back over the collecting conveyor belt. The collecting conveyor belt is mounted within the width of the machine and is better protected against collisions during maneuvering.

The result is an optimised, straight crop flow without bottle neck.
Working lights

Six LED working lights are optionally available for the receiving hoppers type RH 20 and RH 24 to illuminate the machine and its surrounding. The working lights can be individually aligned or repositioned.

The collecting conveyor belt to merge the products of the pregrading cross conveyor and the soil cross conveyor.

Protective casing for the operator terminal

For dust-free and waterproof storage of the operator terminal and other operating devices, such as a remote control for the store loader, all Grimme receiving hoppers can now be equipped with a protective casing.

ASABE recognizes innovation excellence in the all-new combine from Claas.

Claas of America recently received a 2021 AE50 Award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) for the LEXION 6000 Series straw walker combine. The annual AE50 Awards program celebrates new products that feature the highest innovation, significant engineering advancement, and impact on the market served.

“Claas is thrilled to be recognized by ASABE for the new and innovative LEXION straw walker combine. We are constantly striving to ensure a better harvest with equipment designed for maximum throughput, efficiency, and reliability — the LEXION 6000 Series does just that and more.”

said Eric Raby, Claas of America President and General Manager – Sales.

Entries for the AE50 awards are submitted from around the world and reviewed by a panel of international engineering experts to determine the top 50 products that represent the diversity of agricultural and biological engineering. Recipients of the awards have been honored for their ingenuity in product development — saving producers time, cost, and labor while improving user safety.

The LEXION 6000 Series straw walker combine, introduced in June 2020, offers an engineered mix of efficiency, precision, and convenience that excels in crops like wheat, canola, and grass seed — all in a reliable and easily maintained package. It is designed to save time and make the job easier for farmers who want efficient separation without over-threshing grain or damaging straw.

Enhanced efficiency for more throughput

The new LEXION 6900 and 6800 provide up to 25 percent more throughput than the prior straw walker series. The APS SYNFLOW WALKER threshing and separation system has the straightest crop flow in the industry and is the only combine on the market with an accelerator drum for constant crop acceleration, efficient grain separation, and gentle straw handling without having to make any sacrifices.

Heightened precision through advanced technology

The combine is equipped with more in-cab controls and on-the-fly adjustment capabilities, along with the highest-quality machine performance feedback for ensured success. At the peak of precision is the CEMOS AUTOMATIC combine automation system, which makes autonomous and automatic real-time, in-field adjustments with more precision and speed than a seasoned operator.

Optimal convenience for minimal downtime

With the industry’s fastest transport speed at 25 mph (40 kph), the new LEXION combine not only gets operators through the field faster but also gets them to the next field faster. New in-cab conversion capabilities make it simpler and faster to switch between crops when needed — reducing crop conversion time by more than 50 percent.

New 790-engine-HP model delivers greater grain harvesting capacity, top grain quality and exceptional uptime

AGCO Corporation introduces the new model 10 and 10T Fendt IDEAL combines to North American producers. The IDEAL 10 and 10T deliver industry-leading maximum engine power of 790 HP, up to 20% more throughput capacity than previous models and harvesting automation that makes operation easier and ensures top grain quality. As another example of Fendt’s unrelenting pursuit of excellence, these new Class 10 combines are designed and built to efficiently harvest more grain in the toughest of harvest conditions.

Kevin Forth, AGCO tactical marketing manager for Harvesting, says:

“As AGCO expands its Fendt dealer network and product line in North America, we are excited to bring the IDEAL 10 and IDEAL 10T with the TrakRide system and IDEALdrive joystick steering to market for the 2021 harvest seasons. Our engineers have designed substantially more power and cleaning capacity into the IDEAL 10 without increasing the size of the combine. Add the new IDEALdrive steering and TrakRide in combination on the Model 10T combines, and these Class 10 combines will deliver more bushels harvested per day and even easier operation during long days harvesting.”

The IDEAL 10 and 10T join the family of Fendt IDEAL 7, 8 and 9 models introduced to North America in 2018. Harvesting capacity of the IDEAL 10 is up to 20% greater than the IDEAL 9, due to the increased horsepower of the MAN 16.2-liter engine and a 12% increase in separation area. The increased harvesting capacity hasn’t increased the overall size or maneuverability of the IDEAL 10, which maintains a sleek 11.5-foot chassis width. Equipped with wheels or the patented TrakRide system, IDEAL is available with 26-, 30- or 36-inch-wide rubber tracks, which allow operators to match the track to their respective operations and glide over fields with challenging soil conditions.

Higher cleaning capacity with added WavePan cleaning technology

For even higher cleaning capacity and great throughput, the IDEAL 10 offers a re-designed cleaning system compared to Class 8 and 9 models. The IDEAL Balance return pans have been optimized to evenly distribute large amounts of material to the cleaning system while keeping the same simple and efficient manner of operation to minimize grain loss and increase grain sample quality.

With the expanded cleaning system, grain now drops down to the top sieve from the stratification pan through the new WavePan cascades. The WavePan design adds curved double-drop steps that use stratification and gravity to help separate grain from foreign material. The enhanced design also maximizes airflow so the powerful cleaning fan can suspend light material in the WavePan area before any material reaches the cleaning shoe, pre-cleaning the crop before it reaches the top sieve. The powerful airflow is split between the two drop stages, so a constant airflow is generated over the entire length of the cleaning shoe for optimal cleaning and grain quality results.

Long, dual-rotor design is efficient and easy on grain

The Fendt IDEAL 10/10T combine includes the same major features and systems as the existing models to help producers optimize grain harvested and deliver cleaner, high-quality grain. The rotors in the dual helix processor are each 24 inches in diameter and nearly 16 feet long, almost 2 feet longer than the nearest competitor. The processor generates huge centrifugal force at a much lower speed, so the crop remains in the rotor longer, which is gentler on grain and straw. In addition, operators will spend less time unloading and more time harvesting with the fastest unload rate in the industry, 6.0 bu./second, with the IDEAL Streamer 6.0 auger as standard equipment.

AGCO headers to optimize the capacity of the new combine include the 9300 DynaFlex draper heads in 45- and now 50-foot widths, along with the 15-foot 4300 pickup header and the Command Series 16-row corn head in chopping and non-chopping versions.

Automation improves harvest efficiency, grain quality and acres harvested

All IDEAL combines feature the automated IDEALharvest system that makes operation easier, optimizes machine performance and ensures top grain quality. The IDEALharvest system uses a special grain-quality camera and numerous sensors that provide real-time crop-flow visualization and direct the system to change settings and compensate for conditions to achieve the operator’s pre-set harvest strategy. Preferences for minimizing grain damage, loss and material other than grain (MOG) in the bin are set by the operator using an easy-to-use touchscreen tablet.

The IDEAL harvest system compensates for sudden changes such as crop density and field slope, adjusting to maintain machine performance and grain quality. This technology is especially important when crop maturity, crop quality, plant health, stand variability and harsh weather make harvest challenging. This convenient technology reduces the operator’s work as conditions change throughout the day.

IDEALdrive eliminates steering wheel for better visibility, more control, less fatigue

IDEALdrive, the first joystick steering system on a combine from a major manufacturer, is an option available in 2021 on the IDEAL 10T and all IDEAL TrakRide-equipped combines in North America. Eliminating the steering wheel and column gives the operator an unobstructed, end-to-end view of the combine header, especially the center of the header where the crop enters the feeder house. The clear view helps ensure crop is flowing smoothly into the machine for optimum productivity and grain quality.

With IDEALdrive, the left hand steers the combine by moving the joystick left or right with a slight movement of the hand. The operator achieves accurate steering with less muscle activity, taking strain off wrists, forearms, shoulders and back during long days in the cab. The steering sensitivity adjusts based on the speed of the machine for optimum control whether the combine is harvesting or in transport mode. Controls typically found on the steering wheel or steering column are now on the joystick at the operator’s fingertips, and all other left- and right-hand controls are within easy reach and designed with operator comfort in mind.

Uptime promise to keep you in the field

All Fendt IDEAL combines are backed by Fendt Gold Star Customer Care, which features a 24-Hour Uptime Assurance service option that provides customers with 24/7 access to their service specialists. It’s the centerpiece of a three-year extended warranty that offers a comprehensive customer support package, including a maintenance program with a 250-hour and out-of-season service package, including all fluids and filters, to ensure uptime.

Fendt IDEAL combines offer the full suite of AGCO Fuse precision farming technology solutions to bring crop production decisions full circle from planning, field prep and planting through crop care to harvest and storage. Owners also receive three-year access to Fendt Connect, AGCO’s pioneering data management tool that includes Fendt SmartConnect, the fleet monitoring and machine diagnostic program that is among the most comprehensive services of its kind.

New combines and tractors demonstrate innovation prowess, customer understanding and industry-first features, complemented by unmatched Fendt reliability and customer commitment.

AGCO Corporation hosted dealers and media this week to celebrate its greatly expanded Fendt distribution network and introduce five new products to North America. The public may tune in for a virtual preview of the new Class 10 combine and expanded offering of tractors during a virtual product preview at 10:00 a.m. EDT, Friday, August 21.

Bob Crain, senior vice president and general manager for AGCO North America, says:

“These exciting new Fendt offerings represent the next chapter for AGCO, our growing dealer network and, most importantly, our current and soon-to-be customers. For the first time, we’re offering a comprehensive line of Fendt tractors in North America to serve the needs of livestock and hay producers and those with large-acreage crop operations.

“Fendt represents excellence, efficiency, reliability, quality and passion to AGCO, our dealers and our customers. We take these values seriously, and when we introduce products with the Fendt name, they must deliver on all of these values. We’re confident these new tractors along with the Momentum® planter and IDEAL® combines do just that.”

The latest equipment from Fendt includes:

Fendt with Tracks. Two new track tractors include the Fendt 900 Vario MT and Fendt 1100 Vario MT tractors with Fendt iD low-rev engine management; smooth, stepless VarioDrive continuously variable transmission (CVT); and the smooth-riding, patented MTS Smart Ride track system.

The Fendt 900 Vario MT includes three models that range from 380 HP to 431 HP. The AGCO Power 9.8-liter, high-power, low-rev diesel engine mated to a Fendt VarioDrive stepless CVT transmission develops 1,500 foot-pounds of torque at 1,100 rpm.

The Fendt 1100 Vario MT tractors range from 511 to 673 HP with four models including the 1167 Vario MT, the largest two-tracked tractor in the market with 673 HP. It is powered by a MAN 6-cylinder, 16.2L diesel engine that generates more than 2,000 foot pounds of torque at 1,110 rpm. Fuel efficiency, power and ride comfort in these machines take track tractor performance to a new level. An innovative steerable hitch is an available option to improve steering and ride when turning with expansive tillage tools and planters.

IDEAL 10 and 10T Combines. The combine with the highest horsepower and the largest separation capacity in North America rides on the same nimble 11.5-foot-wide chassis as the IDEAL 9. The wheeled 10 and tracked 10T are powered by a MAN 16.2-liter diesel engine that delivers 790 horsepower. The separation area in the IDEAL 10 is 12 percent larger and harvest capacity is 20 percent greater than the IDEAL 9.

Fendt 700 Gen 6 tractors. Six models of the new Fendt 700 Gen 6 tractor carry out multiple duties farm-wide. They can adjust for narrow or wide row spacings and feature a Deutz 6.06-liter, six-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 144 to 237 horsepower. They also feature the new FendtONE interface that lets operators customize their preferences for each use.

Fendt 300 Vario mid-range tractors. The fourth-generation Fendt 300 Vario is a mid-range tractor with a class-leading power-to-weight ratio and a nimble 13-foot turning radius. Its four models are powered by 4.4-liter AGCO Power engines that range from 100 horsepower to 132 horsepower. The Fendt 314, the largest model in the family, can reach 142 horsepower with the Fendt DynamicPerformance power boost when the task calls for more power.

AGCO invests heavily in fast-growing Fendt dealer network

Crain adds that Fendt tractors have been sold in North America since 1998 and that 2020 is also the 30th anniversary of AGCO as a company. Progress has been swift during these three decades.

he says:

“AGCO now has 206 Fendt dealership locations and counting in 29 states and 9 provinces, an increase of more than 80 locations since we began investing in our dealership expansion in 2018. We’ve worked hard to place dealers in areas that best serve current Fendt owners and prospective buyers. We will continue investing in additional dealerships. Our existing Fendt dealers are excited about these new products, and our new Fendt dealers have been working hard preparing to bring new customers into the Fendt family with support, service and sales indicative of the Fendt legacy.”

Commitment to owner satisfaction, success from design to dealerships

The Fendt commitment to an excellent ownership experience goes from the engineering drawing board to far beyond the dealership door. Each Fendt is backed by Fendt Gold Star Customer Care, which assures additional value and more uptime. Gold Star provides a full warranty with no deductible for 36 months or 3,000 hours for tractors, and 36 months or 1,200 hours for IDEAL combines. Gold Star also covers all scheduled maintenance, including the cost of oil, filters, belts and other maintenance items needed during the warranty period. Fendt dealers also offer industry-leading parts support with a dealer-facing fill rate of more than 98%. If a crucial part isn’t available from a dealer, it will be shipped via the fastest method possible from the nearest AGCO Parts Distribution Center or the factory.

Highly trained Fendt technicians use the latest technology to quickly diagnose problems on the farm or in the shop to save Fendt owners time and money through reduced downtime and lower service fees.

Crain says:

“Since its inception more than 90 years ago, Fendt has combined craftsmanship with engineering, while listening to customers and solving their problems without sacrificing quality or reliability. The products you see today reflect this history and bring farmers new technologies that increase fuel efficiency, enhance ease of operation, increase comfort and reduce per-acre operating costs.
