Kubota Engineeres M5N Tractor Expressively for Vineyards, Orchards and All Other Narrow Farm Environments

Kubota engineered the M5N to specifically work in vineyards, orchards, or anywhere else that might require narrow tractors that feature M-Series power.

Strong heartbeats under the bonnet of the M5001N. The new V-3800 TIE 4F 4-cylinder engine with a 3B emission level provides between 73 and 105 HP (according to 97/68 EC). The models M5071N (73 HP), M5091N (92-93 HP), and M5101N (103-105 HP) are available both as cab tractors as well as DTH tractors (open platform with rollover protection bars). This is made possible by Kubota’s leading position in diesel engine technology. The outstanding reliability, strength, and cleanliness of the engines of the three models will impress you.

The M5071N has a sizeable 3.8 l engine under the bonnet – which is unique in this horsepower class and gives the model the right power for all jobs. The DTH tractors also have a special feature, they actually reach their maximum performance at 2,400 rpm, rather than at 2,600 rpm like the cab tractors. You will surely appreciate the lower noise level.

The diesel particulate filter in the new engine reliably reduces emissions. The two electronic engine settings provide convenient quick adjustments for repetitive work. Which is not only useful but also saves time.

The engines also have a new electronic speed control with which you can control the speed of the engine. Once the RPM mode system has been activated, the speed remains constant, even when the demand for power varies. As a result, PTO-driven implements can be run with constant efficiency. Operations are bound to include a number of recurring tasks, such as certain PTO-driven jobs. That is where the integrated speed memory comes into play. You can call up the respective settings with the push of a button, and you’re ready to go, without any further adjustments.

The M5001N provides a further innovation when it comes to the fuel tank: Instead of three tanks, like its predecessors, it has only two large tanks on the bottom side of the cab. This provides not only more capacity and thus longer usage times, but also higher tank comfort. The tank of the DTH tractors holds 76 l and is therefore even bigger than the previous versions. An additional plus: The new tank design gives you better visibility towards the rear, as a rear tank is not required. And since there are two tanks instead of three, the fuel gauge is also more accurate.

Transmission

With great efficiency at low and high speeds, the finely harmonized and smooth-shifting transmissions stand for shifting pleasure, reliability, and economy. Another improvement is the non-clutch button as a standard feature on the 36/36 gearbox, the non-clutch button supports the operators comfort with easy gear shifting, just press the button and shift among the 6 gears.

Redesigned cab

To promote operator efficiency all main controls are on the right-hand side of the operator while the steering wheel has 40 degrees more tilt. Dual side mirrors and an easy access fuse box are standard.

Updated engine features

TheM5N has an updated V-3800- Tier IV engine which has a common rail fuel system, intercooler, exhaust gas recirculation and employs a diesel particulate filter and a selective catalytic reduction for minimized emissions. Additionally, it has an increased alternator capacity (130A), larger radiator, larger diameter cooling fan, and RPM memory for repetitious actions.

New LX Series Bridges Gap Between Kubota’s B and L Series Compact Tractors

Kubota Canada Ltd. unveiled its new LX Series, the latest addition to the company’s compact tractor line.

The LX Series offers three models including the affordable entry-level LX2610SU Open Station model and the well-equipped LX2610 and LX3310, both of which come with Open Station and Cab model options.

Designed with both residential and commercial operators in mind, the LX Series has the versatility to tackle rural residential tasks while providing the power and comfort to handle
commercial applications. The new LX Series compact tractors will be available nationwide at
authorized Kubota dealers in May 2020.

Kubota Canada Ltd. Introduces the Grow Stronger Initiative

Kubota Canada Ltd. has announced the Grow Stronger initiative with its first partner, Topsy Farms and various partners to help support Canadians at this time.

Topsy Farms

Since 1972, Topsy Farms has been operating and raising sheep on Amherst Island. The farm mainly produces 100% Canadian Wool products, natural products and offers leisure activities for visitors to enjoy. This is Kubota Canada’s first collaboration with Topsy Farms.
Behind the Grow Stronger Movement – Victory Gardens To boost morale and assist with the food supply during World War I and World War II, Victory Gardens were grown at private residences and at public parks by people of all ages. This allowed everyone to be farmers and contribute in a positive way. The Victory Gardens contained various vegetables, crops, fruit, and herbs that were tended to by communities for the greater good and to help provide a sense of purpose.

For Kubota, all Canadians can be farmers. Kubota plans to continue supporting communities across Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic through a positive and educational social awareness campaign. Kubota Canada unveils FastBale

Kubota Canada Ltd. launched the new FastBale as an exciting addition to their existing line-up of quality hay tools. The Kubota FastBale will make continuous baling a reality in Canada for an increasing number of forward-thinking farmers and custom operators.

“Kubota is pleased to introduce the FastBale in Canada and we believe this new product will help redefine the approach to round baling. Unlike a conventional round baler, the FastBale’s unique design saves the operator considerable time since there is no stopping to finish the binding and to discharge the bale,”

The FastBale boasts some of the most significant innovations to baling since net wrap. Its cleverly designed twin bale chambers and wrapping system ramps up baling efficiency, bale uniformity and bale quality without stopping or allowing the bale to touch the ground prior to completing the process.

The FastBale was developed and built by the Kverneland Group, a Kubota subsidiary, at their facility in Ravenna, Italy. The baler offers a leading-edge design, using two bale chambers arranged in series – a pre-chamber and a main chamber. The pre-chamber is two-thirds of the size of the main chamber, which allows the FastBale to create an industry first, dual-density bale from a fixed chamber baler. This also makes the FastBale one of the most compact baler wrapper combinations available.

The baling process starts with feeding crop into the pre-chamber using a massive 800 mm intake rotor equipped with a 25-knife chopping system. When the bale has achieved the set density in the pre- chamber, the crop flow and the bale are transferred to the main chamber. Once the bale is complete, the crop flow is redirected back to the pre-chamber and the netting is applied. The bale in the main chamber is then ejected onto the wrapper where it is quickly wrapped and gently placed onto the ground with no rolling momentum. When the pre-chamber is full, the process repeats itself. This enables baling to continue uninterrupted – something that is truly appreciated by operators.
