AUSA Launches AUSAnow, its Connected Fleet Manager

AUSA has completed the global launch of its AUSAnow fleet manager, an online fleet control solution. With this new digital service, AUSA is offering all of its customers a product to improve their efficiency and profitability by using their mobile phones or computers.

AUSAnow is the latest product to be launched by the manufacturer of compact all-terrain industrial vehicles, underlining AUSA’s commitment to implement technology in its products. The new software allows real-time information to be sent about maintenance requirements, technical and performance issues, and any unexpected movement of machines. All with the aim of ensuring that the AUSA vehicle’s owner or end customer is
able to get the most out of it and reduce downtime by being able to anticipate any
requirements.

Full control of the machines, wherever you are

The information is stored in the cloud, so AUSAnow can be accessed with any computer
or mobile telephone, putting all of the data at your fingertips at all times.

Obtaining information and decision-making

This new system will allow any user to view and create their own personalized charts, to
obtain in-depth information about the operation of their machines and make decisions
that are based on detailed information.

AUSAnow as a security tool

AUSAnow is also designed for the security of AUSA machines. The tool allows you to
create a geofence and establish a schedule and security perimeter. If the machine goes
outside the boundaries, the user will be informed immediately so that they can deal with
the issue.

AGCO Pilots Innovative Precision Ag Line (PAL) Support Service for Farmers with AGCO and Mixed-Fleet Operations

AGCO’s PAL program connects customers with precision ag technical experts via a simple phone call or text message.

AGCO announced today the pilot of its Precision Ag Line (PAL) program, a tool designed to streamline support services for farming customers using AGCO solutions with mixed-fleet operations.

PAL makes precision farming expertise available to farmers using products from widely-used AGCO brands such as Challenger, Fendt, Gleaner, Massey Ferguson, and Precision Planting, even when those products are used in conjunction with equipment from other manufacturers. The result is more efficient solutions that lead to satisfied customers and improved farming outcomes.

“Precision farming techniques can become complicated, especially when products from multiple manufacturers are used to accomplish them. PAL puts farmers in direct touch with our technical experts who are very experienced at aligning disparate systems into effective processes. This program is directly aimed at ensuring our customers have the best farming outcomes and exceptional customer experiences with our products along the way,”

said Cody Light, field execution manager for AGCO’s Fuse division.

AGCO’s Precision Ag Line (PAL) is designed to streamline support services for farming customers using AGCO solutions with mixed-fleet operations. The service easily connects customers with precision ag experts via phone or text message. PAL is being piloted now with several North American dealers with plans for expansion in 2021 and 2022.

PAL leverages the AgriSync platform to ensure a seamless experience for farmers, dealers, and AGCO’s technicians. The tool aligns with the dealer’s current support system – usually an existing customer service number – to streamline access to the service. Customers of participating AGCO dealers simply call or text a familiar number to speak with the product and technical experts at the dealership or AGCO itself for immediate assistance from some of the industry’s most capable precision ag specialists.

PAL is currently being piloted with several members of AGCO’s North American dealership network. Experiences so far have been very positive and helpful to its ongoing development. The company plans to expand the program to additional locations in 2021 and 2022.

Atlas Tree Surgery Relies on Sennebogen Tree Care Machines for Cleanup Work after Wildfires in California

Atlas Tree Care Surgery Inc, a tree care services company based in Santa Rosa, California, has grown considerably in many ways in recent months. In August 2020, the company took delivery of its first Sennebogen machine, a 718 E tree care handler. Since then, six material handlers have been added and more machines will be making their way overseas in the coming weeks.

The Sennebogen timber material handlers first came to the attention of Rich Kingsborough, head of Atlas Tree Surgery Inc, at a machine demonstration and he was immediately impressed:

“I knew these machines were going to be game-changers for our industry.”

Since then, not only has the team’s fleet grown but so has the company itself. By more than 150 employees in recent months, due in no small part to the catastrophic wildfires in California.

The so-called “August Complex” goes down in history as one of California’s largest wildfires, affecting more than 418,000 acres. The cleanup efforts continue to keep the company busy today and brought in many new projects, which are now supported by the deployment of seven Sennebogen material handlers.

Fleet of six Sennebogen 718 E in mobile and crawler versions, plus one 738 E in tree care

In total, the company’s fleet already includes five 718 E mobile material handlers, one 718 E with a crawler undercarriage and the largest model from the forestry range, the 738 E. The 718 E was chosen, among other things, because of the high flexibility offered by its low operating weight of just 21.4 tons. This means that the tree care handler can be easily moved from job to job with the help of a flat-bed truck.

The powerful hydraulics in combination with a grapple saw on the 13 m telescopic boom are specially adapted to precise tree felling work and are therefore the ideal solution for demanding operations. Working with the 123 kW powerful machine is also facilitated for the operator by the adjustable cab, as well as the 360-degree rotating upper carriage, which allows safe and controlled grabbing, sawing, and placing of logos to the side.

Safety and Efficieny through the use of a Sennebogen 738 E

At the heart of the fleet is the 738 E, which delights operators with its equally fluid, precise, and fast operation. The reach of up to 23 m also enables complex operations for which Atlas Tree Surgery would otherwise have to call on several climbers, as well as a crane. The 738 E now does the same job in less time, with less manpower, and without the need for additional heavy machinery. Kingsborough also particularly emphasizes the safety factor,

“Any time you can take a climber out of a tree, you’ve made the job safer. These machines make a really dangerous job easier and safer. Even more so, we were able to successfully and efficiently complete projects we had budgeted two months for within six weeks.”
