The customer ultimately ends up renting from that rental company. They’re not logging into YARDZ – it’s just powered by YARDZ.”

Perez emphasized that this is not a supplier marketplace. It is a portal that allows suppliers to enhance the customer experience while keeping their company information secure and confidential within the portal.

The truth is, within the rental industry, the capability to build out a truly exceptional supplier portal has only been attainable within the top 10 rental companies with significant capital and technical resources. Now, rental companies can spend a fraction of that to attract a first-class customer, allowing the supplier to effectively elevate their customer experience to that of a much larger rental company.

“The reality is, there’s been a tremendous shift in terms of what contractors’ expectations are within the industry and what a rental company should look like,”

Perez explained.

“Most rental companies believe good service is enough, and that means showing up on time and delivering equipment. You still have to have that – that’s foundational. But as technology has progressed, the benchmark for what constitutes a high-quality rental supplier has become much more demanding. Now you’ve got to give them tools to run their business and access data in a simple fashion.”

What YARDZ has built is a system that can digest data and build out the infrastructure so a customer can log in and see everything they have rented with that specific company, along with every other piece of information they need. The four smallest models, the G1100 and G1200 and their tele-versions, have been constantly optimised in recent years. Lots of new extra options for these machines are also now available.

Since their appearance some years ago, the smallest members of the Tobroco-Giant wheel loader family became very popular not only in construction, but also with companies working in landscaping and gardening.

In a time when well-trained employees are scarce while work and deadlines create more and more pressure, the importance of having a versatile and compact motorised helper has considerably increased. At the same time, it is also very important to improve the working conditions for employees. This enables them to manage the great variety of different duties in a safe and healthy manner.

For this reason, today many tasks, such as delivering of material within the building site, minor transporting and excavating tasks, which have been done by hand for a long time, are now delegated to compact machines. They have to be able not only to work within limited space while providing a high performance, but simultaneously they must be transported easily from one site to the next and be deployable for a lot of different purposes.

Small weight – great flexibility

With a service weight of only 1.100 kg for the G1100 and G1200 and 1.200 kg for the G1100 TELE and G1200 TELE the compact machine are easily and quickly transported on a common car trailer from one working site to the next. The attachments, playing their role in the incredible versatility of the machine, can also be put on the trailer with no trouble at all. All the same the smallest Giants really live up to their name “Giant Ant”, because they are able to almost lift their own weight. The tele-versions of the two models still offer a lifting capacity of 750 kg.

The small powerhouses are driven by four strong Poclain wheel engines, which provide surprisingly high push and pull forces and are known to be really low maintainance. Due to the hydrostatic four wheel drive with automotive control, the wheel loaders show very comfortable driving characteristics. The electrically controlled slip differential makes sure all four wheels stay safely on the ground all the time. To change between forward and backward is made very easy with an electrical switch.

The flexibility of the machines is based on the right range of attachments. Tobroco-Giant has a team of engineers who are specialized on attachments, they are focused on developing new and improving existing attachments. This is reflected in the complete line of attachments for the G1100 and G1200 models. Whether it is a sweeper, tree grab or soil bucket, the GIANT attachments are specifically designed for these machines and guarantee the best performance and efficiency.

A lot of optimising

Even when the machines haven’t changed a lot from the outside, there have been made quite a few technical changes on them: The engines (20hp for the G1100 and 25 hp for G1200) are now Stage V engines according to international standard. As well there are protective plates on the bottom and on the front on the machine to protect it against damage by branches, rocks, etc.

To make transport and the lifting of the machine easier there are now lifting eyes provided. This way, it can be tightly fixed on the trailer and transported to its destination and, if necessary, easily lifted over a wall. The machine can be supplied with narrowed mudguards making it even more narrow and to go 87,5 cm literally through every door.

New options available for more individual adaption

Now there are – apart from the above mentioned changes of the standard model – more options for G1100 and G1200 (Tele) available. For a more comfortable way of working there is a mechanically suspended seat including safety belt, armrest and backrest on offer. Furthermore, there is a transport securing device so you can block the arm in all directions by just pressing a button. Another option is the hose rupture protection in combination with floating position and transport securing device. As well, it is possible to order the machines with road specification from the factory.

Exclusively for the G1200 and the G1200 Tele there are two extra options: Either the HD driving mechanism or a higher driving speed (up to 19 km/h) can be chosen. HD stands for “Heavy Duty” and provides 45% more pulling force than the standard version. A higher driving speed makes a lot of sense if material must be loaded, unloaded or transported over longer distances.

A lot of arguments for the “little ones”

With the help of the new details, the two models offer even more comfort in handling the machine and can even more reliably when taking over different tasks in construction, landscaping and gardening be it lifting, transporting, loading, digging or cleaning, there are nearly no limits.

In addition, the two tele-versions load can load great heights or store and fetch material from high rise racks. Compared to their service weight, they life an impressive amount. Due to their small weight, can also they work without damaging the surface. Smaller machines also have the added benefit of lifting in remote places like inside buildings or internal courtyards that are impassable for normal machines.

The 310L, the latest generation of the original model, remains a cornerstone within the John Deere backhoe lineup as a result of the continuous improvement to the design and efficient performance.

Since the 50-horsepower JD310 entered the market, John Deere has continued to evolve its backhoe lineup, building upon the original design through new innovations and technologies. Today, additional models, such as the 310SL and 310L EP continue to advance to meet changing customer needs. The newly redesigned 310SL machine allows operators to be 16% more productive in trenching applications over the previous design. Now with pressure-compensated load-sensing (PCLS) hydraulics, the 310SL provides better multifunctioning, smoother machine control and up to 15% greater craning capacity with Lift Mode, collectively providing a distinctive customer experience and enhanced machine reliability.

Since its introduction in 2012, the 310L EP continues to deliver exceptional value with the redesigned powertrain, which includes a synchromesh manual transmission and a more basic operator station. The 310L EP also features a Yanmar 3.3L engine that complies with Environmental Protection Agency FT4 emissions regulations. With no external aftertreatment components needed, the design minimizes machine complexity and the number of parts that must be maintained by the customer, resulting in lower total cost of ownership and enhanced uptime. This trajectory has continued for 50 years, with John Deere launching many new backhoe loader models over the past five decades with the customers’ needs in mind.

As a commitment to the next generation of backhoe loaders, John Deere has begun joint-testing its first-ever battery electric backhoe loader with National Grid, an electricity, natural gas and clean energy delivery company. Aimed at lowering its carbon footprint and promoting sustainability, the Deere E-Power backhoe loader targets the performance of a 100-horsepower 310L diesel-powered machine, but with zero tailpipe emissions. John Deere is committed to the future of the construction industry, and the 50th anniversary of John Deere backhoe loaders is a testament to the growth and evolution of its machines over time.

Helping commemorate the anniversary, John Deere has created a replica toy model of the original JD310 backhoe loader to help customers celebrate the 50th anniversary at home.

The donated equipment includes a 2005 Toolcat utility work machine, a 2013 T630 compact track loader and a 2015 T630 compact track loader, as well as a variety of parts that can be used for training modules. Donating equipment for these programs helps allow critical instruction for service technicians and students on troubleshooting, servicing, operating, repairing and maintenance for all machine components.

said Jim Bainer, instructor and faculty member at M State’s Diesel Equipment Technology program.

Over the last 15 years, Doosan Bobcat has contributed over $620,000 in equipment, pledge amounts and supplies to the college. The company also provides three $1,000 annual scholarships to students enrolled in science, technology, engineering and math programs. Additionally, they provide a $2,000 annual classroom investment for technology updates for a total commitment of $50,000 over the next seven years

“Thanks to Doosan Bobcat, our students have access to top-of-the-line industry resources, expertise and training, preparing them for success in a globally-connected workforce,”

said Karen Reilly, associate dean of marketing and outreach at M State.
