Increased productivity

This four-wheel-drive, four-roller head also has a shorter tilt frame that helps to load trucks or extend reach with higher deck piles – working effortlessly to manipulate logs on carriers with or without live heels.

Its larger delimb opening enables operators to grab multiple logs, clearing the yarder chute or shovel more efficiently. With a wide maximum delimb opening of 939 mm (37 in.), the HTH624C 4×4 LP can manipulate large single logs and improve log deck picking.

Likewise, the HTH624C 4×4 LP also features a large sawing capacity with an 815 mm (32 in.) maximum sawing capacity. It’s also fit for 27+ metric ton carriers, meaning that it can carry out large jobs.

Tight space workhorse

One of the key benefits of the HTH624C 4×4 LP is its ability to work in tight spaces. As a multi-use tool, it can handle the jobs of multiple pieces of equipment – a key feature when space doesn’t permit several pieces of equipment.

With a weight of 3560 kg (7,848 lb.), the HTH624C 4×4 LP provides added capacity and delimbing force to tackle the big jobs. Its minimum delimb close of 120 mm (4.7 in.) allows it to process a wide range of diameter classes.

The standard H425 (1360 kg or 2,998 lb.), H425HD (1390 kg or 3,064 lb.), and hefty H425X (1426 kg or 3,143 lb.) each offer increased reliability with new feed motor hosing routings and new covers. For quick and easy servicing, each head features a new hinged valve cover and improved access to greasing points.

H425

Optimizing performance, productivity, and delimbing, the H425 excels in large diameter regeneration harvesting. A powerful control valve and feed-roller arm geometry ensure a solid grip and agile harvester head control for all diameter classes.

For increased uptime and lower daily operating costs, the H425 offers improved hose routing from boom to harvester head and from the valve to feed motors, keeping hoses well protected from limbs and understory interference.

The H425 offers optional saw motor sizes, standard (narrow stem) or buttress (wide stem) saw frames for challenging applications and processing knives for picking stems from the ground or bunch piles.

H425HD

Built to work on the toughest jobs, the H425HD features a heavy-duty tilt frame, feed motors, and guarding to provide even more durability. With a powerful control valve and a top saw option, the high-performance head offers great productivity, especially for wheeled carrier applications.

For ease of maintenance, the H425HD now has an easy filling of saw chain oil. Likewise, daily maintenance can be performed without changing the position of the harvester’s head. The valve block and grease points are also easily accessible.

The H425HD offers optional saw motor sizes, standard (narrow stem) or buttress (wide stem) saw frames for challenging applications and processing knives for picking stems from the ground or bunch piles.

H425X

The H425X features an extreme duty main saw a box with heavier steel plating, extra feed motor component guarding, heavy-duty tilt frame, hose protection, and increased drive arm durability for demanding applications in mixed stand harvesting. Its four roller feed arm geometry ensures rollers grip solidly in all diameters, improving responsiveness with unprecedented tree-processing performance – especially in large timber.

Purpose-built for tracked harvesters, the H425X offers options for many applications with multi-tree handling, an integrated top saw and processing knives for picking from piles or hardwood applications, and many feed wheel options to suit numerous applications.

New Features

To increase durability across the range, the frame on the H415HD as well as the H415 and H415X have been strengthened at several locations based on customer feedback – providing more durability and increased uptime. The H415HD’s base weight is 1401 kg (3,089 lb.), which is 71 kg (157 lb.) more than the standard H415.

Standard features of the H415HD include an HD tilt frame with thicker steel plate, expander pins for upper tilt cylinder, feed roller arms, and lower delimbing knives – to improve pin durability and frame longevity. Additionally, HD feed motor and hose guards help improve durability.

Likewise, to lengthen the service life of the saw bar and alleviate interference in some applications, the H415HD’s saw position was changed to provide more room between the saw bar and stem. All three configurations of the H415 heads now feature the possibility for a wider saw bar and improved saw chain tensioning to reduce chain loss, bar wear and promote more operational productivity.

The models also share a lower saw box height (30 mm / 1 in.) creating lower stump height and more wood recovery. This is complemented by an improved lower delimbing knife profile for larger stem sizes.

Expanded Options

In addition to being featured on the H415HD, select new features of this model can be configured for the H415 and H415X. Some are also compatible with older H415 harvester heads and can be purchased through spare parts sales.
