Thanks to the optimized geometry of the front panel, the forage compression flap can now be better adjusted to the crop. The spring-loaded flap controls the automatic loading system. The sensor switches the scraper floor on and off, with a time delay if required. The 2,000 mm wide forage compression flap ensures perfect filling of the loading chamber, right up to the edges.

On the standard versions, two basic positions can be set manually. Infinitely variable hydraulic adjustment of the inclination is also available as an option. This also allows the flap to be fully retracted, so that the top section of the loading chamber can be opened when the loader wagon is deployed in harvest transport mode. Roof ropes, which are available as an option, can easily be removed.

For maximum conservation of the forage, an optional sensor is available to monitor the loading torque on the rotor. This is particularly important with the wet, heavy crops, which makes it more difficult for the material package to reach the forage compression flap. In this situation, the automatic loading system and the scraper floor are controlled based on the torque of the loading rotor. This configuration enables the wagon to be filled while maintaining the best possible forage structure even in the most difficult conditions.

The appropriate loading strategy can be selected from the driver’s cab to match the current task.

During the development of the new power harrows, special attention has been paid to current and future requirements in terms of ease of operation and flexibility. All settings and adjustments can be made very ergonomically from the side of the machine. Feedback from the field has shown that settings are only optimized if they are easy to use and can be continuously monitored on clearly visible scales.

Combined with folding colter rails, this machine becomes an extremely efficient tool. It has definitely earned its place as a universal seed drill.

Compact design

The folding frame concept has been optimized to meet the latest requirements: The headstock and the entire folding frame are mounted on the machine. The result is an extremely short and compact power harrow that is up to 30 cm shorter than any of the others. As a result, the center of gravity is closer to the rear axle and the weight acting on the front axle is noticeably more positive. Both models fold to an outer width of 2.55 meters so that transport on the road is no problem.

The solution for all applications

As tractor power continues to increase, so does the range of applications. While power harrows can be used solo for seedbed preparation, now more flexibility is needed. The answer is to make it possible to combine the power harrow with a colter rail and front seed hopper. Thanks to its compact and short design, the weight of the colter rail also acts further forward. This has an extremely positive effect on the steering performance of the tractor.

Both LION models operate with four rotors per meter of working width. This makes it possible to output wide working widths with smaller power tractors.

Easy working depth adjustment

Handling and accessibility are essential on power harrows. By not working unnecessarily deep you can save fuel. With the LION 103 C series, it is easy to quickly set the ideal working depth from the side of the machine to obtain the correct seedbed structure. All you need to do is pull out a lynchpin and adjust the control rod to set the working depth as required. This system allows the working depth to be adjusted at intervals of approx. 1 cm.

Convenient leveling board linkage

An impressive and much-appreciated advantage is offered by the leveling board, which is automatically height adjusted by the rear roller. This is completely independent of the working depth setting. The leveling board is guided at a consistent pre-defined distance above the soil without changing its distance from the tines or its pre-set height. This patented solution delivers the most level and uniform tilth structure for the seedbed, even in varying soil conditions.

Choice of rollers for every type of soil

Seedbed preparation is concluded by one of a wide range of rear rollers. Choose from tooth packer rollers and prism packer rollers. On tooth packer rollers and prism packer rollers, there are the additional criteria of two different diameters to choose from.
