AGCO Corporation introduces a new era of concentrated performance with the North American launch of the Massey Ferguson 6S Series tractor. Massey Ferguson will debut the MF 6S Series, along with its full S Series lineup, at booth 7823 during the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky, February 16-19.

The versatile new machine delivers up to 180 HP — the highest from a four-cylinder on the market. It pairs power with intuitive controls and advanced technology for high performance in a wide range of applications.

The MF 6S Series is available in four models based on horsepower — 145, 155, 165, and 180 — and features a 4.9-liter AGCO Power engine with a legacy of dependability and class-leading sustainability. Operators can choose from two transmission options for maximum productivity that meets their particular power requirements. The Dyna-6 transmission offers maximum fuel efficiency through 24 forward and reverses speeds up to 31 mph.

The Dyna-VT transmission allows operators to select the exact speed without compromising engine RPM for optimal output in any situation. This transmission option is also available with a 50 gal/min load-sensing hydraulic system. With a maximum lift capacity of 21,164 pounds, outstanding towing capacity, and an increased gross vehicle weight of up to 27,558 pounds, the MF 6S Series excels with heavy loads and demanding implements.

This power is concentrated in a compact footprint that gives hay producers class-leading power and torque with a 900-pound-lighter footprint than comparable six-cylinder models for minimal impact to the soil. Additionally, the MF 6S Series offers silage hay and 5-foot-wide round baling operations for high-performance operation without impacting the next-cutting yield. A perfectly balanced power-to-weight ratio efficiently handles heavy hay balers while a 15-foot, 7-inch turning radius makes for superior maneuverability in the field or the feedlot.

User-friendly Operation for Optimal Comfort and Efficiency

Straightforward usability and superior comfort complement the concentrated power of the MF 6S Series. In keeping with the overall S Series design introduced with the MF 8S Series, the cab layout uses simple color-coding on all controls for quick identification and easy operation. Deluxe models also feature a new ergonomic armrest with the customizable MultiPad lever and E/H Multifunction joystick for intuitive, effortless control of all major functions. The optional Datatronic 5 terminal features an easy-to-navigate digital dashboard that can be customized for operator preference. This cutting-edge technology makes operation quick and easy, allowing producers to change setups on hydraulics, transmission, and engine from one convenient terminal for maximum efficiency in any application.

Case IH is introducing the WD5 series windrowers to its lineup of self-propelled harvesting equipment. These new models offer more consistent drydown and the fastest speeds in the industry, making them the most productive and efficient hay-harvesting solution on the market.

WD5 series windrowers were engineered to help growers take on harvest windows with faster, more consistent drydown. With transport speeds up to 30 mph, operators can travel efficiently from farm to field. Haying time and costs are also cut with field speeds up to 20 mph.

Comfortable cab environment with exceptional operator control

To provide a premium operator experience and enhance productivity, WD5 series windrowers are designed with a quiet, comfortable cab environment, while an independent air-assisted rear-axle suspension provides a smoother ride. Plus, a tuned cab suspension means better fore/aft stabilization and ride cushioning. Designed to excel through hilly areas, a robust drivetrain design produces over 11,000 foot-pounds of torque, while a four-link rear suspension provides greater stability and reduces the need for added ballast.

The Case IH SurroundVision cab is packed with productivity-boosting features, including larger, easy-entry steps, a leather ventilated seat and additional window tinting for a cool and comfortable workday. Designed to function and feel similar to the Axial-Flow combine, the WD5 series windrower includes the MultiFunction Handle, which helps simplify operation.

AGCO announced today the pilot of its Precision Ag Line (PAL) program, a tool designed to streamline support services for farming customers using AGCO solutions with mixed-fleet operations.

PAL makes precision farming expertise available to farmers using products from widely-used AGCO brands such as Challenger, Fendt, Gleaner, Massey Ferguson, and Precision Planting, even when those products are used in conjunction with equipment from other manufacturers. The result is more efficient solutions that lead to satisfied customers and improved farming outcomes.

“Precision farming techniques can become complicated, especially when products from multiple manufacturers are used to accomplish them. PAL puts farmers in direct touch with our technical experts who are very experienced at aligning disparate systems into effective processes. This program is directly aimed at ensuring our customers have the best farming outcomes and exceptional customer experiences with our products along the way,”

PAL leverages the AgriSync platform to ensure a seamless experience for farmers, dealers, and AGCO’s technicians. The tool aligns with the dealer’s current support system – usually an existing customer service number – to streamline access to the service. Customers of participating AGCO dealers simply call or text a familiar number to speak with the product and technical experts at the dealership or AGCO itself for immediate assistance from some of the industry’s most capable precision ag specialists.

PAL is currently being piloted with several members of AGCO’s North American dealership network. Experiences so far have been very positive and helpful to its ongoing development. The company plans to expand the program to additional locations in 2021 and 2022.

Doosan Bobcat North America announced plans for a $70 million expansion of its Statesville, N.C., manufacturing facility. The company plans to construct an additional 580,000 square feet for its manufacturing operations, which will create 250 new, full-time jobs over the next five years in Iredell County. The construction is expected to begin July 2021, with full project completion expected in May 2022.

The announcement comes on the heels of an earlier $11 million facility upgrade at Statesville, which was completed in January. This new investment will enable the company to meet the growing demand for all Doosan Bobcat products, including its Doosan Portable Power equipment and the growing line of Bobcat grounds maintenance and landscaping industry products.

“This level of investment demonstrates our commitment to North Carolina, which has been an important manufacturing location for us since 2008. We are dedicated to the continued expansion of our compact equipment line to help empower our customers to accomplish more, and our Statesville location has been an important part of this success,”

said Mike Ballweber, president of Doosan Bobcat North America.

Doosan Bobcat’s $70 million investment in the Statesville facility through construction of the new expansion spaces and equipment purchases will grow the floorplan from nearly 500,000 square feet today, to more than one million square feet when complete. The company’s acquisition of 68 acres adjacent to the current, 92-acre campus will allow for the addition of 500,000 square feet of attached manufacturing space and 80,000 square feet of attached warehouse and distribution space.

“We are thrilled that Doosan Bobcat is once again choosing to expand its operations in Statesville. For more than a decade, Doosan Portable Power has been a part of our business community and partner with the city of Statesville, and this investment strengthens and builds upon their commitment to Statesville,”

The investment will also bring additional employment opportunities and economic growth to the area. The Statesville operation’s current team of 400 full-time employees will grow substantially through this project, which will result in the creation of 42 new jobs in the first two years, and up to 250 new jobs in five years.

We look forward to building on the strong relationship we already have with community leaders and our neighbors.
