New models provide more durability and increased reliability to help producers harvest more of what they grow

Case IH is upgrading its header series with the new 3100 Series II rigid and flex draper headers. Featuring 118 product enhancements since the original 3100 Series draper header introduction, these new improvements deliver improved durability, increased reliability and unmatched harvest performance and ground-following capabilities.

“Case IH draper heads allow you to harvest more of what you grow. With superior crop feeding and less susceptibility to crop moisture, harvest efficiency is improved and producers can harvest more acres per day,”said Ryan Blasiak, Case IH harvesting marketing manager.

With models from 30 to 45 feet, the latest updates to the Case IH 3100 Series II draper head design improvements enhance reliability and durability at harvest. Features such as the cam action reel, CentraCut Knife Drive and narrow end dividers allow you to put more grain in the tank. The Case IH 3162 Series II TerraFlex headers feature a truly flexible cutterbar and new airbag suspension in the center section. Plus, cast flex arms with cutouts prevent material buildup to increase uptime.

“With the Series II updates, we provide superior flotation regardless of harvesting conditions,” Blasiak said. “If it’s necessary to harvest in soft conditions, producers can feel confident their header won’t push in the field.”

Backed by a two-year factory warranty, Case IH draper heads offer superior crop feeding and less susceptibility to crop moisture. The exclusive in-cab deployment of low-speed transportation system requires no header cart. Exclusive CentraCut Knife Drive with center-mounted knife drive improves performance across the cutterbar and minimizes cutterbar vibration. The CentraCut Knife Drive offers two times the cutting force as a dual wobble box and three times as a single wobble box. Helical-cut gears ensure the cutter bar never falls out of timing. Narrow end dividers (6-inch width) compared with competitive 10-inch wobble-box-equipped headers reduce crop knockdown and increase grain savings.

Ag Info Tech is proud to announce they will soon become 1 of 10 Smart Ag dealers in the United States. The Smart Ag innovative technology will allow farmers to automate their existing equipment and maximize its efficiency and capacity.

Smart Ag will improve farmer’s operational capacity by enabling them to use automation and driverless technology on their farms.

“My dad was born in 1911 and witnessed many great advances in agriculture first-hand, from pulling equipment with horses, to tractors to auto steer,” said Tim Norris, Ag Info Tech CEO and VP Sales. “I never imagined that I would be able to experience change on the level he has, but this advanced level of artificial intelligence (AI) with Smart Ag will rapidly change how agriculture operations are performed. In comparison, Smart Ag and autonomous equipment will be as big as the tractor was after the horse.”

Smart Ag, based in Ames, Iowa is an investor-backed technology company developing autonomous farming solutions for row crop agriculture. The company was founded in 2015 and is offering aftermarket retrofit kits to automate farm equipment, as well as a platform to connect, manage, and safely operate autonomous agricultural machinery. Smart Ag is led by successful ag entrepreneur Colin Hurd and former John Deere ISG and Ag Leader Manager Mark Barglof.

For more information about Smart Ag and to request a demo of Smart Ag’s technology, visit Ag Info Tech at the 2018 Farm Science Review at Lot #394, which is at the corner of Silage Street and Friday Avenue. Ag Info Tech will also have a Smart Ag system running this fall in Knox County, Ohio. Smart Ag will go into full release in 2019.ù
