Titan is expanding its Titan AgraEDGE tire line — which was launched just last year — with 4 new flotation sizes of the cutting-edge, cost-competitive tires. The radial R-1W tires are available now in 710/70R38, 710/70R42, 800/65R32, and 800/70R38 sizes for MFWD tractors combine, grain carts, and 4WD tractors.

“We introduced the AgraEDGE in 2021 with 17 tires in 14 different sizes to support the most popular MFWD tractor front and rear configurations to give farmers an American-made high-performing, modern-looking, cost-competitive R-1W tire. These new sizes allow us to support farmers even more by covering additional MFWD setups, as well as combines, grain carts, and 4WD tractors,”

The expansion gives the AgraEDGE line 18 total sizes (21 tire options), ranging from 380/80R38 up to 800/70R38. Titan plans to continue to expand the line with additional row crops through flotation sizes in the coming months.

Modern design elements

The new AgraEDGE sizes, like the initial 14 sizes, feature a modern design and improved compounding, the latest engineered materials, state-of-the-art construction techniques, and modern lug angle for optimum self-cleaning and traction. In addition, new construction in the sidewall and lug angle provides excellent roading capability. The tire and footprint shape allows for minimal soil compaction. Each tire is “D” Speed Rated to better match the application.

Radial warranty coverage

The full AgraEDGE tire line is covered by Titan’s recently expanded radial warranty, which includes:

• 8-year coverage for tire workmanship and material with a prorated refund based on years in service and percentage wear. This includes a 2-year no-cost replacement (service not included) versus the previous policy’s 1-year no-cost replacement.
• The new 1-year field hazard protection plan offers prorated refunds for select cases of field hazard damage.
• 2-year stubble damage protection plan covers all Titan radials.

AGCO announced today the pilot of its Precision Ag Line (PAL) program, a tool designed to streamline support services for farming customers using AGCO solutions with mixed-fleet operations.

PAL makes precision farming expertise available to farmers using products from widely-used AGCO brands such as Challenger, Fendt, Gleaner, Massey Ferguson, and Precision Planting, even when those products are used in conjunction with equipment from other manufacturers. The result is more efficient solutions that lead to satisfied customers and improved farming outcomes.

“Precision farming techniques can become complicated, especially when products from multiple manufacturers are used to accomplish them. PAL puts farmers in direct touch with our technical experts who are very experienced at aligning disparate systems into effective processes. This program is directly aimed at ensuring our customers have the best farming outcomes and exceptional customer experiences with our products along the way,”

said Cody Light, field execution manager for AGCO’s Fuse division.

PAL leverages the AgriSync platform to ensure a seamless experience for farmers, dealers, and AGCO’s technicians. The tool aligns with the dealer’s current support system – usually an existing customer service number – to streamline access to the service. Customers of participating AGCO dealers simply call or text a familiar number to speak with the product and technical experts at the dealership or AGCO itself for immediate assistance from some of the industry’s most capable precision ag specialists.

PAL is currently being piloted with several members of AGCO’s North American dealership network. Experiences so far have been very positive and helpful to its ongoing development. The company plans to expand the program to additional locations in 2021 and 2022.

Case IH is launching updates to Puma series tractors — models 185, 200, 220, and 240 — to enhance efficiency, comfort, and convenience. From an updated hood with new styling to increased service intervals and enhanced drivability, the new features and advancements aim to improve the operator’s experience and boost productivity.

Updates to the Model Year 2021 Puma series tractors include:

• Drivability improvements for the optional CVXDrive continuously variable transmission
• In-cab cool box feature for enhanced comfort
• Redesigned optional front hitch
• Low-mount wiper for maximum visibility in any conditions

Longer service intervals, efficient power

Helping producers achieve greater productivity with less fuel, Case IH Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology improves horsepower, engine responsiveness, fuel economy, and durability, all while lowering emissions. With the latest advancements, the Model Year 2021 Puma models 185, 200, 220, and 240 achieve longer service intervals without sacrificing production: 750 hours for engine oil and 1,500 hours for transmission fluid.

Enhanced drivability with CVXDrive

Available on Puma series tractors, CVXDrive continuously variable transmission provides intuitive operation and smooth, seamless power transfer through varying conditions without torque interruption. By selecting the target speed, the transmission automatically adjusts to deliver the desired speed to match load conditions. When equipped with CVXDrive, updated Puma models 185, 200, 220, and 240 incorporate several drivability enhancements, including:

• Greater customization to match transmission behavior with any job
• Smoother acceleration, deceleration, and shuttle behavior
• Finer drive pedal and MultiController sensitivity
• Cruise control pedal override
• MultiController low-speed safety lock and position detection

Updated Puma models 185, 200, 220, and 240 are now available to order. The model Year 2021 Puma 150 and 165 tractors with updates including longer service intervals and refreshed styling will be available in March 2021.

Multiple headers for multiple crops

The newly designed Orbis 450 and 900 feature a frame stamped from a flat piece of metal, with no welded joints, for the strongest possible header. The knives, crop flow guides, and Christmas trees on the new Orbis 900 are all Premium Line, making the header more durable and providing more consistent cutting and feeding. The Orbis 450 features a working width of 15 feet, while the Orbis 900 has a working width of 30 feet, the smallest and largest headers within the Orbis range.

Despite its large working width, the Orbis 900 is able to follow ground contours for optimal performance. This is made possible by a new tilting frame that enables a +/- 5° correction in combination with an exclusive Auto Contour hydraulic swing movement compensation. In addition to the two standard sensor bands at the outer edges, a third, centrally fitted sensor band is available as an option. This provides an enhanced ability to follow ground contours, especially on uneven ground. The Orbis 900 also features a folding design that allows the operator to fold and unfold it in 22 seconds for easy transport between fields to get the job done faster.

Top crop quality in all operating conditions

The new “10 Series” Disco 24, 28, and 32 rear-mounted mowers are designed to work flawlessly year after year. The smaller working width (7 feet 2 inches to 9 feet 10 inches) disc mowers include the same professional-grade Max Cut cutter bar featured on larger, more expensive mowers and a double gearbox. The new range of mowers is quickly attached to the tractor using a category 2 or 3 quick-hitch. A new feature for all side-mounted Disco disc mowers is a center-of-gravity hitching system, which ensures that the mower bed has a uniform contact pressure over the entire working width. The mower bed quickly responds to changes in ground contour, resulting in clean hay and even stubble.

Optimized for heavy-duty usage, Claas has released the all-new “100 Series” Disco 360 rear mower. The 360 mower features the same high-end Max Cut cutter bar with quick knife change for perfect cutting quality and ground following. It also features a double gearbox, integrated break back device, and quick blade change. Thanks to the working width of 11 feet 2 inches, there is no job too big for the Disco 360 rear mower.
