Now, the new 2150S Early Riser front-fold trailing planter provides the additional agronomic benefits of split-row planting with greater fertilizer and seed capacity.

Greater fertilizer and seed capacity

The 2150S Early Riser front-fold trailing planter features an optional 525-gallon liquid tank to provide operators maximum run times between fills. The liquid fertilizer system delivers accurate application rates at a broad range of speeds with multiple factory-installed application options, including frame-mounted colters and in-furrow options. Plus, with 100 bushels of seed capacity (two 50-bushel tanks) and optional individual tank scales, operators can better plan for tendering with the ability to optimize partial seed fill.

Multiple configurations and narrow row planting increase ROI

Studies continue to show the ROI opportunities of narrow row planting, which include increased yield benefits and faster crop canopies for weed control — all while minimizing soil erosion. The 2150S Early Riser front-fold trailing planter lets operators take advantage of these benefits with a range of configurations, including 23, 24, 31, or 32 rows with 15-inch spacing, or 24 rows with 20-inch spacing.

In-cab hydraulic row-unit lift control allows operators to easily convert from 15- to 30-inch spacing with no manual lifting or tools required. When planting in a split-row configuration, an industry-leading row-unit offset of nearly 50 inches helps increase residue flow while minimizing plugging opportunities.

Exceptional ground-following capabilities are made possible by a wing flex of +/- 15 degrees combined with +/- 8 inches of row-unit travel. This ensures the row units remain in contact with soil, even in rugged terrain. Optional hydraulic wing downforce ensures proper seed depth control on the wings, while the agronomically designed Early Riser row unit provides excellent seed placement across the entire planter.

Front-fold design for simple transportation

With a front-fold frame design, the 2150S Early Riser planter delivers a narrow transport width of 13 feet — and a simple on-screen, step-by-step folding-and-unfolding system provides a smooth and quick transition from transport to field operation. Operators also gain in-cab hydraulic control of all rear subframe row units, including the center main frame row units.

Bobcat is expanding its proprietary Features on Demand digital platform to include all 60 Platform R-Series compact track loaders and skid steer loaders. First launched in August 2020 on the T76 and S76 R-Series Loaders, Features On Demand is a first-of-its-kind, wholly customizable technology that allows owners to enable additional machine features after purchase.

The new 304 and 305 CR models are the final machines to be reengineered to the Cat next-generation mini hydraulic excavator line concept. From the 1.5- to 10-tonne class models, all 17 – 20 Cat mini hydraulic excavators in the range (depending on region) offer common features and consistent controls layout to simplify training and operator adaptation.

New 304 increases stability

Built with a new reduced radius design, the 304 features a narrow, 1700-mm (66.9-in) track width, 254 mm (10 in) slimmer than the 304 E2, for more versatility and access to confined spaces. While narrower, the new 304 design increases the performance, balance, and stability of the 4-tonne class model. Its reduced radius allows for greater stability, both 360-degree and when traveling with loads, while its extra counterweight option takes the model to an even higher level of stability.

Compact performance of the 305 CR

The new engine on the 5-tonne class Cat 305 CR Excavator delivers nearly 9% greater power to increase machine performance. Hydraulic system improvements provide higher breakout forces – 49.2 kN (11,061 lbf) bucket, 28.3 kN (6,362 lbf) standard stick and 25.2 kN (5,665 lbf) long stick – to improve digging efficiency in hard rock applications. It also offers 140 mm (5.6 in) deeper dig depths than the 305 E2, giving it more application flexibility. Its compact radius swing reduces overhang when working to the side, while its 1980-mm (78-in) track width and new extra counterweight option help to optimize stability and lift performance in confined spaces.

Advanced Efficiency

Both excavator models now offer an angle dozer blade option to optimize machine flexibility in backfilling and finish grading applications. In addition to offering ample above- and below-grade travel with standard float function for easy clean-up, the angle blade moves 45 degrees left or right of center. Increasing efficiencies and reducing operator interaction with final grading, angle blade movement is controlled by the right-hand joystick, while the left joystick handles machine drive.

Tailoring machine weight to job requirements, interchangeable counterweight packages offer the balance between low ground pressure and lifting performance. Their industry-exclusive Cat Stick Steer System simplifies machine control by allowing the operator to switch from conventional lever/foot-pedal steering controls to low-effort joystick operation. Two travel speed ranges and standard cruise control facilitate moving around the job site with minimum operator interaction.

Meeting U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage V emission standards, the turbocharged Cat C1.7 Turbo engine delivers higher power than the previous C2.4 engine. Standard auto-idle, auto engine shutdown, and efficient load-sensing hydraulics with variable displacement pumps help to lower fuel usage at the site for more affordable operation. High main-relief pressures, coupled with flow rates, generate the hydraulic capacity for high digging and lifting forces and more efficient use of a range of attachments. Complete with quick-disconnect lines, the standard auxiliary system provides the choice of one-way, two-way, or continuous flow.

Next-generation comfort, savings

Common to most Cat next-generation mini hydraulic excavators, the sealed and pressurized cab enclosure is available with heating and/or air conditioning for all-weather climate control. The cab’s large glass areas plus skylight afford all-around visibility. The large display with an advanced touchscreen option provides intuitive machine function control and easy monitoring of critical operating parameters. A canopy option is available in some regions.

Daily maintenance checks for the 304 and 305 CR are quickly made from ground level through side doors. Expanded use of common parts throughout the line plus their damage-resistant exterior construction help to reduce parts inventory investment and lower repair costs. Increased service intervals mean these excavators spend more time on the job and less time in the shop.

The hook features a multi-directional design that allows it to swing in each direction, as well as 360-degree swivel movement. This provides operators optimal lifting position as well as the ability to easily position lifted objects when setting them into place. The swivel hook conveniently stows out of the way with an easy-to-operate lock pin when not in use. Maintenance on the utility hook is nearly effortless thanks to a single recessed Zerk fitting.

Precision Lift & Load takes front loader work to a new level and further strengthens Valtra’s position as the ideal front loader tractor and developer of easy-to-use technology solutions. The new app enables the tractor operator to use and measure loading tasks in a completely new way.

The precision of work is significantly enhanced by the loader scale function, which weighs loads of different materials, such as the weight of hay bales when feeding livestock. The app collects weighing data, and once the task has been completed, the operator can transfer the data to an Excel spreadsheet for invoicing purposes.

The app also enhances work productivity and safety, as the upper and lower limits for loader movements and the maximum angles can be set, stopping the loader automatically when the limits are reached. There is also an easy-to-use shake function that helps the operator ensure that no materials remain in the bucket such as wet snow or sand.

These new features make front loader work even easier, more efficient, more comfortable, and, most importantly, safer.

The app is operated from the touchscreen on the award-winning SmartTouch armrest and does not require any separate controls or displays. Adjusting the settings of the Precision Lift & Load app is easier than using a smartphone, so the operator can relax and enjoy the work while the tractor automatically takes care of all the front loader settings.

Precision Lift & Load functions for different front loader tasks can be saved as profiles in the SmartTouch interface. Before performing the same task again, the operator simply has to select the most suitable setting from the profiles.

Valtra’s smart front loader uses the same hardware as its other front loaders. The stylish and high-quality design also protects the smart components. Two pressure sensors and two position sensors plus an ECU controller are located inside the beam. The key role is played by the SmartTouch software, which combines the data collected from the sensors and communicates the operator’s wishes to the front loader.

Factory-fitted front loaders have for years offered Valtra customers high-performance loaders that are easy to operate and suitable for a wide range of tasks, including the most demanding in terms of hydraulic power. The small turning radius of Valtra tractors also makes the front loader work more efficient than with any other tractor.

A large panoramic roof provides excellent visibility when the loader is raised. In addition, the operator does not need to lean forwards to see the load. The low engine cover also provides a clear view of the front. The exhaust pillar and air intakes are positioned in such a way that they do not impair visibility when driving or working.

G, N, and T Series models are also available with a third function that enables bale grapples, for example, to be used at the same time and with the same joystick as other front loader functions. This also enables precise and continuous movements instead of just on or off functions. The hydraulically tiltable tool carrier, X-Tilt, is available as an option from Valtra Unlimited, making front loading work even more precise.

The Precision Lift & Load app will be available starting this autumn as a factory-fitted option on G, N, and T Series tractors with the award-winning SmartTouch armrest. The system will also be available later as a retrofit package for 5th generation SmartTouch tractors.

JCB expands its E-TECH range of zero-emissions machines with the launch of its first-ever electric Loadall telescopic handler model.

JCB has taken a pioneering lead in the move to electric propulsion in construction, agricultural and industrial machinery, having successfully introduced the 19C-1E mini excavator and the 66-40E Teletruk to the market. As world market leader for telescopic handlers, the launch of the JCB 505-20E Loadall takes equipment electrification further into general construction, industrial and agricultural markets, offering a zero-emissions material handling solution with no compromise in performance or productivity. We are very excited about the prospects for this machine.

Key features of the new Loadall include:

• Dual electric motors for drive and lift deliver increased efficiency
• Brake regeneration boosts battery charge
• Regenerative hydraulics increase efficiency

The 505-20E uses two proven electric motors, one for the driveline and the second to power the hydraulic system. The 23 hp (17kW) traction motor drives through a permanent four-wheel drive dropbox, to JCB drive/steer axles. The 30hp (22kW) hydraulic system motor powers a fixed displacement gear pump, delivering a maximum of 21 gal/min (80 l/min) of flow.

Flow is proportional to joystick position and the lift end is controlled by an electro-hydraulic valve block, with hydraulic regeneration on boom function.

Extensive analysis of customer duty cycles, through JCB’s LiveLink telematics system and on-site studies, tests, and evaluation, has allowed JCB engineers to optimize the machine’s battery life to meet customer requirements. The 96V Lithium-ion battery is capable of providing full-shift operation.

The traction drive motor utilizes regenerative braking, instead of a traditional braking system, topping up the battery in the process. The hydraulic system also regenerates flow while lowering the boom, reducing the power requirement, and extending operating hours. The brake regen function automatically turns off when the battery is fully charged.

The machine has a 240V, 16A onboard charger capable of recharging the battery in 8-10 hours. An optional JCB Universal Charger can be used for a rapid top-up during breaks, in as little as 60 minutes.

The 505-20E has been designed to meet the current and future needs of customers in a variety of industry sectors, providing zero-emissions operation for working inside buildings including barns, in underground construction, vegetable and fruit storage centers, greenhouses, on environmentally friendly sites, around hazardous materials, and in urban areas with stringent emissions regulations.

In addition, the new telehandler can draw on low-cost renewable energy on farms and other rural enterprises that generate their own ‘green’ electricity.

A secondary benefit of electric operation is a significant reduction in noise levels, making the Loadall suitable for extended operation in noise restricted areas such as schools, inner-city work, around animals, and hospitals. The 505-20E delivers an in-cab noise level of just 66.7dB, while the external level is 92.2dB. A white noise reversing alarm is available as an option, to warn site workers of machine movement.

JCB has not compromised on operator comfort. The full-size ROPS/FOPS cab is ergonomically designed for fatigue-free operation, with easily located controls. The machine will be offered as a cab or canopy.

Maximum lift capacity is unchanged from the diesel model as the 505-20E has the same 5500 lbs (2500 kg) capability. External dimensions also remain the same with 12 ft 1in (3.7m) outside turn radius and overall height of 6 ft 2 in (1.89m). The machine has been designed to deliver similar cycle times as the diesel telescopic, with no loss of performance. It can be used with forks, a range of buckets, and many other JCB Loadall attachments.

AGCO Corporation announces a new family of economical compact tractors ― the Massey Ferguson 1800E and 2800E Series. The new lineup replaces the 1700E and 2700E Series and includes five models ranging from 24 to 57.3 engine horsepower. All are equipped with dependable Iseki diesel engines, offer greater hydraulic capacity, and sport the bold new styling common across the Massey Ferguson tractor line.

These new tractors are engineered and built for heavy-duty jobs and tough applications. A cast steel rear end and cast front axle, 4-wheel drive, and high-capacity hydraulics provide the weight, muscle, and traction to tackle demanding jobs, such as transporting round bales, skidding logs, or moving heavy gravel, topsoil, and other bulk materials. The E Series can be equipped with a broad range of implements and attachments, making them an economical and versatile choice for property owners, livestock producers, landscapers, hobby farms, municipalities, and commercial contractors.

The 1835E and 1840E feature turbocharged 1.83-liter, 3-cylinder engines that provide 34.5 and 39.4 engine horsepower, respectively. The larger-chassis 2850E and 2860E models are each equipped with a brawny 2.43-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, delivering 48.8 and 57.3 engine horsepower. Liquid-cooled for increased durability, the clean-burning Iseki engines meet final Tier IV emissions standards and can be found in specialized equipment used worldwide in a broad range of demanding ag, turf, and commercial applications.

Hydraulic performance gets a boost

New E Series compact tractors offer up to 18 percent greater hydraulic capacity than the previous generation. The dual-pump high-flow system provides more responsive power at low engine speeds, allowing operators to throttle back to reduce noise while maintaining full steering and implement function and control.

The open station offers convenient, easy-to-use controls

All E Series models feature an open station with a wide, uncluttered platform to provide ample room and comfort for the operator. All controls are logically arranged, easy to reach, and simple to understand ‒ advantages beginning operators will appreciate.

The E Series compact tractors also benefit from an updated design with a newly styled hood and fresh decals, reflecting the look of larger Massey Ferguson utility and row-crop tractors. Operators can still count on the solid metal hood and fenders, which are stronger and less susceptible to damage than plastic hoods found on other compact tractors.

Choice of simple mechanical or smooth hydrostatic transmissions

The E Series compacts are standard equipped with a proven 8F x 8R Synchro Shuttle transmission. This rugged mechanical-gear transmission provides a wide range of working and transport speeds from 0.8 to 16.6 mph (1.4 to 26.8 km/h), depending on tire size and type. It’s an ideal choice when performing jobs such as mowing or rotary tilling when consistent working speeds must be maintained. A handy forward/reverse mechanical shuttle shift provides easy direction changes – great for loader work.

An optional 3-range hydrostatic transmission also is available. Simple and convenient, it allows the operator to reach the speed needed within each range without shifting gears.

The 1800E models offer a Category I rear 3-point hitch, while the 2800E models are equipped with a Cat. I/II 3-point hitch with up to 2,425 lb. lift capacity, providing compatibility with dozens of implements, including the Massey Ferguson FL Series loaders and BH and CB backhoes, depending on the model. Third-function loader control enables the use of a wide array of skid-steer attachments, such as root grapples and 4-in-1 buckets. A 540 rpm rear PTO is standard.
