AGCO introduces the Fendt 500 Vario Gen3 Series mid-range tractors, which will now include the FendtONE cab and operator station. The Fendt 500 Vario Gen3 Series of highly adaptable, powerful, and productive tractors is available in four models, with engine horsepower ranging from 124 to 163 (107-137 PTO). These tractors are the perfect size for completing chores on livestock and dairy operations, as well as haying, mowing, and light fieldwork.

The innovative FendtONE cab provides a streamlined and efficient work environment, allowing users to customize the operation of the tractor and implements based on their preferences and the work that needs to be done.

The FendtONE cab features up to three large, easy-to-read display screens that show all tractor functions and can store settings for jobs the operator uses most. From the FendtONE cab, operators can customize their tractors to easily move between jobs. For example, they can adapt loader functions to make quick work of moving and stacking big bales and cleaning livestock pens, or they can switch the tractor from mowing to raking to baling – with implement settings already customized and saved in the tractor for each of those jobs.

FendtONE: designed for operator convenience

FendtONE makes it easy for operators to customize their tractors and to create user profiles to save their settings. The display areas can be personalized for each driver, and the workstation includes several assignable buttons that operators can program to control specific tractor or job-based implement functions.

“The philosophy behind the FendtONE cab is in its simple design and intuitive features. Fendt has delivered technology that is easy to use with the integration of all the tractor functions in one touchscreen,”

says David Soliday, AGCO senior tactical marketing manager for tractors.

The nearly limitless customization of the Fendt 500 Gen3 Series tractor can be accomplished with the 12-inch LED touchscreen display that connects the operator to all the tractor functions. The touchscreen is mounted on the right-hand FendtONE armrest.

To activate the FendtONE touchscreen, the user presses the launchpad button, located near the push dial. This button functions as the ‘home button on a smartphone and give the operator access to the digital displays for all machine functions. From there, it’s easy to navigate to the guidance system, hydraulics, service and diagnostics, and more. The launchpad also controls other tractor systems including the air conditioning, in-cab entertainment, and the communications system, as well as side-mirror adjustments.

An optional 12-inch display recessed into the roof liner can be pulled down when needed. The two displays are linked and synchronized, providing data in unison, allowing the operator to view up to 12 user-selected panels of information across the two displays. A 10-inch digital dashboard-mounted behind the steering column enables operators to monitor real-time tractor conditions, including RPMs, speed, fuel level, and tractor status.

The controls for the tractor, hitch, and implements are now centrally located at the operator’s fingertips. The ergonomically designed armrest includes color-coded control buttons, a multi-function joystick, 3L joystick, and a push dial controller, all within close reach for greater operator safety and control of the tractor and implements.

“The button controls are color-coded to match their functions, which also appear on the displays in the same color. This makes it easy for operators to quickly associate the colors with specific tasks and functions, so they perform jobs quickly, accurately and with less chance for error,”

Soliday says.

The multifunction joystick controls tractor speed and direction, hydraulic valve operation, powertrain functions, TI Headland, and ISOBUS functions. It includes freely assignable buttons that can be programmed based on the job. The 3L joystick controls front loader operations, hydraulic controls, and ISOBUS controls.

The ideal front-loader tractor

The Fendt 500 Vario Gen3 Series is ideal for livestock producers who need tractors that are versatile and easy to operate. They are ideal for loader work, haymaking, hauling, and towing. And the added live, third-function loader operation, controlled by the 3L joystick, gives customers the ability to use up to three functions at the same time with their Fendt Cargo or CargoProfi front loader, making these tractors even more useful around the entire farming operation.

“The 500 Gen3 Series is the perfect tractor for livestock and dairy producers looking for a mid-range, innovative and reliable tractor. Fendt added the live third valve to the front loader specifically to make daily chores easier. With the live third function, operators can raise or lower the bucket and tilt it at the same time as they’re opening the grapple on the bucket,”

Fendt technology simplifies chore work

Working in tandem with the Fendt 500 Vario tractors, the Fendt CargoProfi Loader offers the latest in smart technology features. It includes intelligent built-ins like the memo function, which saves the position settings for loader arms and attachments, as well as the measure-and-tilting sensor systems, which make repetitive jobs easier to complete. Two pressure sensors in the crossbeam measure and track loader weight. The CargoProfi also has a shaking function to empty the bucket completely.

Continuing the Fendt tradition of offering more horsepower in smaller packages, the Fendt 500 Vario Gen3 Series transitions easily from front loader work on the farm to fieldwork. The four models in the 500 Vario Series ‒ 512 (124 HP), 513 (133 HP), 514 (150 HP), and 516 (163 HP) ‒ provide an ideal power range for chores around livestock or dairy operations and mid-size grain farms.

The Fendt 500 Vario’s powerful 4-cylinder DEUTZ engine with a 4.04-liter cubic capacity and common rail injection ensures efficient fuel consumption. A selective catalytic reduction (SCR) exhaust after-treatment follows combustion to ensure the tractor meets the latest emission standards. Working seamlessly with the engine is the stepless Fendt Vario continuously variable transmission (CVT), which was pioneered by Fendt. The Vario transmission delivers a smooth, precise road speed up to 31 mph (50 kph) so operators can precisely match the speed required to complete the task at hand.

The Tractor Management System (TMS) helps keep the tractor operating at peak performance by adjusting the engine and transmission, so they work together at an optimum tractor RPM. Less fuel is required because the engine is running at lower RPMs, causing less wear on the engine, and prolonging its life.

The agile Fendt 500 Gen3 Series offers everything that larger Fendt tractors do, including several features that Fendt pioneered, such as a multi-point cab suspension system and full control of all drive functions and hydraulics via the single, multifunction joystick. Standard features on the 500 Vario Series include a self-leveling front axle suspension with brakes, electronic rear hydraulic valves, and a hydraulic Crossgate lever.

Owners who wish to customize their tractors have a choice of two trim packages – the base-level Profi or the Profi+ with guidance. The Profi+ package includes Fendt Connect, a telemetry package that links the machine to a home office, smartphone, or tablet via a mobile network. It also includes the guidance-ready Fendt Guide package, and Fendt TaskDoc, which automates crop production documentation.

Gold Star Customer Care keeps you productive

The Gold Star Customer Care plan comes standard on all Fendt tractors, providing owners with a 36-month/3,000-mile warranty, all scheduled maintenance, and includes the cost of oil, filters, belts, and maintenance items during the coverage period. Each new tractor also receives five years of Fendt Connect telematics that allows an operator or their dealer to remotely monitor important machine data. In the rare case of a breakdown, Fendt dealers will take care of the parts support, while quickly diagnosing and repairing the problem to get the tractor back in the field or provide a loaner guarantee if it takes more than 48 hours to complete a repair.

The Fendt network of dealers continues to grow and expand in North America, with more than 210 dealers currently supporting the brand.

The CP770 is ideal for large to extra-large farmers and custom cotton harvesters who need to harvest the maximum number of acres per hour possible. When compared to its CP690 predecessor the CP770 can reduce harvesting costs by up to $1.50 per bale through reduced wrap, fuel, labor, and hauling costs.

John Deere was first to market with its exclusive round module builder that revolutionized the way cotton is harvested and transported from the field to the gin. As the third-generation round module harvester, the CP770 carries on the field-proven tradition of its predecessors while featuring a new round module builder capable of making modules 2% larger and 5% denser. Once the cotton is collected, the CP770 wraps and ejects the module in just over 30 seconds, providing the ultimate experience in non-stop cotton harvesting.

Part of the CP770’s increase in harvesting productivity can be attributed to the all-new John Deere PRO16 HS Row Unit fitted with high-speed stalk lifters and ultra-fast cotton-grabbing spindles.

A new John Deere 13.6 L PowerTech engine and hydraulic power module improve fuel efficiency by up to 20% for the CP770 and up to 15% for the CS770, while reducing maintenance requirements and costs. When combined with the updated crop handling components, these systems work together to help farmers harvest more pounds of cotton per hour at faster speeds than previous models.

The John Deere CS770 Cotton Stripper provides a 2-point increase in turnout with its new field cleaner and packs up to 5% more cotton into a module while harvesting up to 10 more acres per hour than previous models.

“The CS770 delivers increased turnout, maximum uptime, improved wrap economy and most importantly, optimal productivity during harvest,”

Murray said.

When equipped with the new SH12F – 12-row folding header, the CS770 is up to 48% more productive in harvesting dryland cotton compared to the CS690 8-row harvester.

“This productivity increase helps customers harvest up to 100 more acres per day in a 10-hour day than they previously could with prior 8-row strippers. These new 770s with their integrated technology raise the bar yet again in cotton harvesting while demonstrating our continued commitment to the cotton industry,”

John Deere announces several updates and additions to its popular lineup of 7R and 8R Tractors for the 2021 model year. The MY21 tractors can now be ordered with deliveries starting in November.

New to the 7R Series lineup is the 7R 350, with 350 rated engine horsepower – a 20 horsepower increase over the largest MY20 7R Tractor – and a base weight of 24,700 pounds. The 7R 350 offers the best power-to-weight ratio of any John Deere Tractor offered today and comes standard with Triple Link Suspension and Infinitely Variable Transmission (IVT), and can be ordered with CommandPRO controls for precise speed control and easy implement hookups.

“The new 7R 350 is the right choice for jobs that require significant power. Customers will benefit from the maneuverability and lighter footprint of the smaller chassis offered by this tractor,”

said Ryan Jardon, product marketing manager, large tractors at John Deere.

“If you’re hauling slurry or forage or need to power large mowing and baling equipment, these tractors are an ideal fit.”

Another key enhancement for 7R Tractors used for hay and forage work is the addition of LSB Ride Control. The inertia generated by the baler and transmitted to the tractor can result in poor ride quality for the operator.

“To compensate, some farmers use a larger tractor than what’s needed to power their large square baler,”

Jardon said.

“This new option gives farmers the ability to use a lighter 7R Tractor with LSB Ride Control to better manage operator comfort and to reduce soil compaction and crop damage thanks to the tractor’s lighter footprint.”

LSB Ride Control modulates the tractor’s IVT to compensate for the rocking motion of the baler plunger. The self-adjusting system improves operator comfort, even as crop density and field conditions change. LSB Ride Control is available as a factory-installed option for MY21 on 7R Tractors equipped with an IVT and is compatible with John Deere L331 or L341 Large Square Balers. A John Deere StarFire receiver is also required.

Starting with model year 2021, John Deere will make ActiveCommand Steering 2 (ACS 2) available as a factory-installed option on 7R and 8R Tractors. This system replaces the original ActiveCommand Steering system and adds more features and capabilities to further improve the driving experience of the tractor in the field or on the road. ACS 2 reduces steering effort for the operator and improves line holding during transport. Using ACS 2 operators can adjust steering sensitivity and steering wheel resistance or turn on or off variable-ratio steering to best match their application and driving preferences.

“ActiveCommand Steering 2 gives operators enhanced control over steering system settings to best fit the work being done. For example, ACS 2 can be set to make it easier to turn the tractor in the field or can be set to provide a more automotive-like steering experience during transport,”

Jardon said.

“In a tractor equipped with ACS 2, it’s noticeably easier to handle curves, for example, compared to a tractor without this option.”

For MY21, Deere also will offer Low Sidewall (LSW^®) Tires as optional equipment on its three largest 8R Tractors, the 8R 340, 8R 370 and 8R 410.

“8R Tractors require Independent Link Suspension to be equipped with Low Sidewall Tires tires. This combination provides outstanding ride quality with all the benefits of a single tire and a large footprint, such as decreased compaction, in a narrow transport package,”

Jardon said.

Two attachment interfaces

Make quick work of grading, backfilling, digging holes, hauling and loading materials with two attachment interfaces available on the new MT100. The new mini track loader features the exclusive Bob-Tach® attachment mounting system which makes it simple to put a wide assortment of Bobcat attachments on the machine. The Bob-Tach system uses an over-center latch mechanism and wear-compensating pins to make proper attachment-to-carrier fitment a given from the first exchange to the last.

The MT100 also features Bobcat Common Industry Interface design which offers operators the ability to exchange attachments as jobs change. Combining over-center latches with pin-on design provides simple and confident attachment-to-carrier connection.

Easy serviceability

Time is valuable, especially when servicing compact equipment. The MT100 has a completely new, more durable undercarriage that requires no daily maintenance. The rollers are permanently sealed and constantly bathed in oil for permanent lubrication. The surfaces of rollers and idlers are heat treated to minimize the wear and tear of typical use and further extend the life of the track system.

Plus, the Bobcat MT100 allows operators to gain easy, tool-free access to routine maintenance areas by simply lifting the hood. They can quickly check coolant, fuel, oil and hydraulic fluid levels so they can be back on the job faster.

Two track options

Travel over established surfaces with less worry about repair time and costs associated with surface damage. The MT100 offers two different track sizes to provide operators with their preferred combination of performance and comfort when traveling over established surfaces or adverse ground conditions. The standard narrow tracks keep the machine’s width to just 36 inches. Depending on the size of the attachment, operators can easily slip through doorways and fence gates. A ground pressure of 5.25 psi provides good protection for most turf and finished surfaces.

Optional wide tracks further reduce ground pressure and increase machine stability. At just 3.97 psi, operators can achieve the lightest possible footprint for sensitive surfaces – and the mini track loader is still only 41 inches wide when equipped with the wide track option.
