AGCO Corporation congratulates Robert Crain, SVP customer experience, and Bill Hurley, VP distribution, on their election to key leadership positions within the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). Mr. Crain was elected to serve as chair of the association’s Board of Directors and Mr. Hurley was elected as vice-chair of AEM’s Agriculture Equipment Sector Board. Both terms will begin in January and extend through 2022.

AEM is North America’s leading organization for advancing construction and agriculture equipment manufacturers and their value chain partners in the global marketplace. The association provides representation and advocacy for manufacturers’ concerns and highlights their role in equipping communities across North America with well-paying jobs and the equipment needed to compete in the global community. Nikola Corporation announced that Trevor Milton approached the Board of Directors and proposed to voluntarily step aside as Executive Chairman and from the Board. The Board accepted his proposal, and Stephen Girsky, former Vice Chairman of General Motors Co. and a member of Nikola’s Board, has been appointed Chairman of the Board, effective immediately.

Milton said:

“Nikola is truly in my blood and always will be, and the focus should be on the Company and its world-changing mission, not me. So I made the difficult decision to approach the Board and volunteer to step aside as Executive Chairman. Founding Nikola and growing it into a company that will change transportation for the better and helps protect our world’s climate has been an incredible honor.”

“As we move forward, I am confident Steve is the right leader to guide our vision at the Board level. In addition to being an early believer and supporter of Nikola, Steve has more than 30 years of experience working with OEM leaders, suppliers, dealers, labor leaders, and national policymakers, and has served as a director of numerous public companies.”

Milton continued,

The prestigious award is presented annually to a farmer cooperative director in recognition of outstanding leadership and contributions to his/her cooperative’s achievements. Davis has served on the AGP Board of Directors for over 26 years and as AGP Chairman since 2002. During that time, Davis also served as General Manager of Gold‐Eagle Cooperative, a position he held for over 35 years. Overall, he held various roles in the cooperative system for more than 40 years.

The nominees for the award are examined by a panel of judges representing the NCFC membership and outside experts. Nominees are evaluated on four broad criteria: how well the nominee understands the cooperative; the ability to provide leadership and be a team player; the possession of good business judgment; and the ability to communicate effectively.

The NCFC Director of the Year award includes a dedicated scholarship for agricultural studies in the name of the recipient to an institution of higher learning of choice. Davis chose Iowa State University to receive the scholarship funds.
