The Dominator 4857 provides maximum subsoil fracture with two ranks of shanks on 18″ effective spacing providing the maximum degree of soil fraction and compaction removal compared to other tillage tools in this class that utilize wider shank spacing.

The Dominator 4861 provides maximum productivity and compaction management. Each shank is positioned between a pair of coulters increasing the quantity of soil brought to the surface by the shanks for maximum residue incorporation. Two ranks of shanks on 24″ effective spacing provide excellent compaction maintenance with optimized productivity. This shank design delivers maximum residue flow with no two shanks closer than 48″.

Both models feature the reverse-tandem disc conditioner with a new C-arm and independently mounted blades on a new 6-bolt hub for easy maintenance. This new combination of C-Arm and hub provides 10% more soil and residue flow through the disc conditioner to improve continuous operation in adverse conditions. No daily grease maintenance features have been incorporated throughout the Dominator 4857 and 4861 models, including coulter gangs, disc conditioner, and conditioner reel bearings. Double K 7″ wing or 2.5″ straight ripper points are available to increase point wear life and increase operator productivity. A new heavy-duty solid round bar conditioning reel is now available for improved durability in rocky conditions.

The Dominator 4857 is available in 10’6″ to 19’6″ RTK working widths and the Dominator 4861 is available in 14′ to 26′ RTK working widths.

Shallow intensive lifting and crumbling as well as deep loosening and mixing

Amazone is now offering two new rigid models of its trailed Ceus disc & tine combination cultivator in working widths of 3 m and 4 m. The successful combination of discs and tines can therefore also be used on smaller farm sizes and with tractors from 150 HP. The new Ceus 3000-TX and Ceus 4000-TX are equipped with central running gear and impress with their precision and versatility for both stubble and primary soil tillage, deep loosening, and seedbed preparation.

The combination of discs and tines means that the Ceus produces a perfect mix at working speeds of up to 15 km/h. Straw, stubble, or catch crops are finely shredded by the up-front discs and then, in conjunction with the following tine segment, the organic matter is evenly mixed, even where large quantities prevail. This combination of tools enables the Ceus to create the best conditions for rapid decomposition and excellent field emergence with minimal disease pressure on the following sowing operation.

The principle of functionality in detail

The leading disc element is equipped with large diameter discs which shred the organic matter and leave a fine crumbed soil structure for optimum sowing conditions. The discs are available in smooth and serrated versions and, thanks to the individual suspension, ensure a high level of through-passage and good contour following during their intensive cultivation. The stone release system via rubber spring elements is maintenance-free.

With a tine spacing of 40 cm, the following tine segment reliably incorporates any organic matter, even in large quantities, and is easy to pull while maintaining a high level of through-passage. The depth of the tines can be adjusted down to 30 cm. However, it is also possible to work shallowly, so that the point runs just below the working depth of the disc harrow in wet and heavy conditions.

This loosens the horizon and creates a rough structure in the soil, thereby significantly reducing the risk of capping on these types of soil. A selection of different C-Mix shares is available for the tine segment. The extensive range offers the right share for every area of application. Plus, the C-Mix Clip quick-change system, which enables the points to be exchanged easily and conveniently, is also offered. Various hard-wearing HD shares are also available for extended service life.

The C-Mix Super tines are equipped with a pressure spring overload safety protection system for high levels of operational reliability, even under the toughest of conditions. As an option, the new C-Mix Ultra tines with automatic overload protection via hydraulic cylinders can also be specified for the Ceus-TX.

Here the trip force can be infinitely adjusted up to 800 kg. On the one hand, this ensures that the desired working depth of up to 30 cm is precisely maintained. Whereas on the other, the C-Mix Ultra system protects the cultivator from extreme loads by means of highly-damped resetting of the tine after tripping.

The tine segment is followed by a set of leveling tools, which can be equipped with smooth or serrated discs or spring tine levelers from choice. The height and inclination of the side discs can be adjusted separately to ensure optimum match-up from bout to bout.

Eleven different rollers and various rear harrows are available for that final reconsolidation. The roller can be removed in particularly wet conditions, e.g. in spring, and work carried out without reconsolidation so that the loosened soil can dry and warm up more quickly.

The option of hydraulic depth adjustment for optimum adaptation to the respective soil conditions is particularly convenient.

Tillage technology and soil management tools, including a new S-tine field cultivator, promote a healthy soil profile

To help producers create a high-efficiency seedbed and accommodate the unique agronomic needs of their fields, Case IH continues to expand its soil management solutions lineup. The new Case IH Vibra-Tine 265 S-tine field cultivator effectively works high-clay and timber soils with proven S-tine technology to create a high-efficiency seedbed. For machines equipped with AFS Soil Command agronomic control technology, producers can now make stabilizer wheel position adjustments right from the tractor cab. Providing more options to fit each field, Case IH is also adding a new 27-foot configuration for the Speed-Tiller high-speed disk.

Built on Agronomic Design principles, every Case IH soil management tool is designed to promote a healthy soil profile and create the field conditions necessary for greater yields. Ensuring optimum residue management, ideal soil tilth, a smooth field surface, and consistent seedbed floor, agronomic performance sets the Case IH soil management lineup apart from competitive units.

Chris Lursen, Case IH tillage marketing manager, said:

“At Case IH, we’re dedicated to giving producers the options, technology, and agronomic solutions they need to meet their unique needs. We know that no two fields are the same. With more options and configurations, as well as technology advancements and new capabilities, producers can equip themselves with the tools needed to create a high-efficiency seedbed in their field conditions and boost productivity on their operation.”

Designed to effectively work tough high-clay and timber soils, the Case IH Vibra-Tine 265 S-tine field cultivator is equipped with proven S-tine shank technology to create a high-efficiency seedbed in one spring pass.

New Vibra-Tine S-tine field cultivator

Case IH is bringing the Vibra-Tine 265 S-tine field cultivator to its lineup of soil management solutions. This tool is designed to take on tough high-clay and timber soils often found in geographic areas such as Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Kentucky, and Ontario, Canada. In one spring pass, vibrating technology delivers optimal clod-sizing, smooth field finish, and a high-efficiency seedbed that promotes accurate seed placement and uniform emergence.

Lursen said:

“We’re excited to bring the Vibra-Tine 265 S-tine field cultivator to the Case IH lineup to better match the agronomic needs of producers who must effectively work heavy soils. S‑tine technology is proven to break through residue and shatter hardened soil, making it an effective and reliable solution to help maximize yield potential.”

The Vibra-Tine S-tine field cultivator is designed with six ranks of S-tines and effective 4-inch shank spacing to provide optimal clod-sizing in tough conditions. This design, along with a high 24-inch frame clearance, allows for maximum residue flow without plugging.

To increase producers’ productivity in the field, single-point hydraulic depth control provides quick and easy adjustments to accommodate changing field conditions. A front T-hitch allows tight and efficient turning when space is at a premium.

The field cultivator is built to last with shanks that can withstand a variety of soils, while a proven tube-through design with 4-inch square tubing walls is high-strength for an open, yet durable, frame. S-tine shank options include the standard two-piece coil or a heavy-duty two-piece coil that delivers more holding power as well as more ground clearance. The S-tine shanks are built with high-quality alloy steel to ensure the longevity of tines and wearing parts.

To optimize the productivity of every tillage pass, producers can now make stabilizer wheel adjustments from the tractor cab with AFS Soil Command agronomic control technology. Proper stabilizer wheel position is often ignored but is critical to achieving a level and smooth seedbed from surface to floor. The stabilizer wheel position is coordinated with any depth adjustment made to ensure machine stability and a smooth seedbed. When the operator adjusts the depth of the machine, all other functions of the machine, including fore/aft leveling, Crumbler downforce, and now stabilizer wheels, will coordinate to desired settings.
