This decision was taken after a deep analysis of the pandemic situation in Europe; despite the control measures and the vaccination campaign worldwide, the future scenario is very uncertain. SDF has prioritised the safety of its employees, dealers and customers from the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.

Consistent with the current scenario and focused on safety, SDF has decided not to participate in EIMA and Agritechnica in 2021 and more generally in trade fairs across Europe.

“Safety has been our priority since the beginning and accordingly, we took the difficult decision to not participate international fairs,”

declared Massimiliano Tripodi, SDF Marketing and Communication Executive Director.

“We are facing a new era in business relationships where new technologies give us opportunities to get in direct contact with customers overcoming physical distances.”

SDF will continue to invest strongly in digital and marketing communication in order to showcase new products and services and interacting with its customers and all agricultural stakeholders throughout the year.

The company is monitoring the evolution of the pandemic in each country, looking forward to the time when this will be over and we will be able to personally again welcome our customers and dealers.

The North America Farm Equipment Magazine presents a free, anonymous survey to investigate the agricultural equipment market in the United States and Canadian markets.

What you need to know

The number of employees who work in your business

Your annual turnover range

The change in inventory level since the pandemic spread out

The topics we want to investigate

The variety of services provided by farm equipment dealers;

Variability in the number of employees and turnover;

How market agents themselves rate their current business situation and their expectations for the short term;

Negative (and positive) effects of COVID-19 pandemic on the normal course of business and operations overall;

The brand-dealer-customer relationship, what retailers look for in a brand, and what do their customers expect from them.

Why we ask for your participation

Your information is important to us. We survey businesses of all sizes to ensure our statistics are representative of the US and Canadian markets.

This survey will contribute to the development of a full market esearch, which you will see published on our online magazine later on: your participation is fundamental for its completeness and truthfullness.

By filling out this form, you will receive results in advance, as well as see them published in September 2020 on our North America Farm Equipment Magazine online.

This research will give you access to a clear and concise view of the market trends and forecasts, drawn up by the market agents themselves. Don’t miss the chance!

Since 2004 the in-house exhibition Grimme Technica has taken place every two years at our headquarters in Damme (Germany). Due to the uncertain development of the Coronavirus crisis and our responsibility to guarantee the greatest possible safety to our visitors and staff, Grimme Technica, which was planned for December 1-4, 2020, has been canceled.

“This decision was very difficult for us, as GRIMME Technica is one of our most important shows. But with the level of great uncertainty that currently prevails, we unfortunately had no other choice”,

says Christoph Grimme, Managing Director of the GRIMME Landmaschinenfabrik. All shows and events of the entire Grimme Group have been canceled worldwide until December 31, 2020. This also includes Potato Europe in Villers/St. Christophe (France) as well as the Beet Europe in Seligenstadt (Germany).

Shows and events are extremely important marketing tools for existing customer relationships and new customer acquisition. Therefore, alternatives and new concepts will be developed in order to stay in contact with customers and to offer the greatest possible transparency of information.

In the seven factories of the Grimme Group in Germany, Denmark, China, and the USA manufacturing is still going on. Due to the high quality of manufacturing and the ultra-modern production processes, it was possible to overcome any bottlenecks in the supply chain with individual parts from external sources. Thanks to the introduction of strict hygiene rules and new working processes, all plants worldwide are able to continue their operations in manufacturing.

The spare parts supply is ensured and could be extended by an on-line shop in cooperation with the Grimme Premium Partners. Shipping of the machines and service are also guaranteed.

The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) released the proposed regulations for the appellations of origin for cannabis on February 21, 2020, which marked the start of a 45-day public comment period.

In response to the COVID-19 emergency declaration, CDFA is extending the public comment period to May 6, 2020. A public hearing has been postponed.

An appellation of origin is a protected designation that identifies the geographical origin of a product and how that product was produced. CDFA’s CalCannabis Appellations Program will promote regional cannabis products and local businesses, prevent the misrepresentation of a cannabis product’s origin, and support consumer confidence about a cannabis product’s origin and characteristics.

Per Business and Professions Code Section 26063(b), CDFA is required to develop the process by which state-licensed cannabis cultivators may establish appellations of origin by January 1, 2021. CDFA proposes amendments to Chapter 1, and adoption of Chapter 2, within Title 3 of the California Code of Regulations, to develop the process for establishing cannabis appellations of origin and provide additional clarification on the use of county of origin.
