]]> Salford Group welcomes David Webster as their new Director of Commercial Application. This new director-level position will execute a strategic vision for continued growth in the commercial application sector by focusing teams within Salford’s engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and finance departments, with the goal of providing new solutions and more value for commercial application businesses.

David is coming from AGCO, where he excelled in several positions including the role of Director of Application Equipment Marketing. Through the various roles he held there David developed a keen interest in application equipment and the customers that work with applicators. When asked about his new role David said

“Coming to the Salford team really aligns with my passion for commercial application and gives me the opportunity to provide leading solutions for commercial application businesses. Having recently been involved in a global role I am excited to get back to working directly with customers, dealers, and the products.

“We’re excited to have David join Salford and further improve our commercial application offering by leveraging his experience, strategic insight, and market connections. Valmar and BBI held the commercial application market as a key part of their business strategy for decades. Since those two companies joined Salford Group nearly a decade ago commercial application has become a part of Salford’s DNA. Solidifying Salford’s commercial application business unit, and hiring David to lead it, is a renewal of our commitment to serving commercial application customers, and Salford’s goal to continue to grow in this space,”

said Brad Baker, Salford’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

David has a history of fostering collaboration between AGCO and Valmar in the commercial application market space. This rich understanding of Salford products is allowing him to hit the ground running in the new position.

Matthew Futrelle is the new head of sales and marketing for the Americas at Continental Commercial Specialty Tires.

Continental Commercial Specialty Tires has announced that Matthew Futrelle will take over the responsibility of head of sales and marketing for the Americas region. In this role, he will oversee all material handling, earthmoving and agriculture tire business in North America, Central America and South America. The appointment is effective beginning Aug. 1, 2020.

With a background on both the dealer side and the manufacturing side of the commercial tire business, Futrelle joined Continental in 2009 as part of the Commercial Vehicle Tires division where he became key account manager for truck in the northern U.S. region. He then joined Commercial Specialty Tires in 2016 as the U.S. market manager and since 2018, has served as the market manager for both the U.S. and Canada.

Futrelle graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in business management. He will report directly to Wolfgang Thomale, who heads the newly created Specialty Tires business unit and in addition is responsible for Commercial Specialty Tires globally.

“I am very pleased to announce Matthew Futrelle as Commercial Specialty Tires’ new head of sales and marketing for the Americas,”

said Thomale.

“Matthew has been with Continental Commercial Specialty Tires for over four years already. With his extensive specialty tire background, deep understanding of our customers’ needs and knowledge of the American markets, I have the utmost confidence he will advance the Americas region forward.”

Futrelle succeeds Pavel Prouza, who is joining the Hydraulic Brake Systems business unit in the Automotive Technologies group sector as the lead of controlling.
