Scott Harris was re-elected to the AEM board of directors; Kurt Coffey to serve on Ag Sector Board

AEM has re-elected Scott Harris, Case IH global president, to serve on its board of directors. Kurt Coffey, Case IH vice president of North America, has been appointed to the Ag Sector Board.

AEM officers and directors work on behalf of all member companies, giving their time and talent to provide strategic direction and guidance for Association action in areas such as public policy, market data, and exhibitions, as well as technical, safety, and regulatory issues, and education/training.

Scott Harris, Case IH global president, presents at the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) 2021 Annual Meeting. Harris was re-elected to serve on AEM’s board of directors.

AGCO’s Robert Crain and Bill Hurley Elected to AEM Leadership

Robert Crain elected AEM Chair of Board of Directors; Bill Hurley to serve as Vice-Chair of Agriculture Equipment Sector Board.

AGCO Corporation congratulates Robert Crain, SVP customer experience, and Bill Hurley, VP distribution, on their election to key leadership positions within the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). Mr. Crain was elected to serve as chair of the association’s Board of Directors and Mr. Hurley was elected as vice-chair of AEM’s Agriculture Equipment Sector Board. Both terms will begin in January and extend through 2022.

AEM is North America’s leading organization for advancing construction and agriculture equipment manufacturers and their value chain partners in the global marketplace. The association provides representation and advocacy for manufacturers’ concerns and highlights their role in equipping communities across North America with well-paying jobs and the equipment needed to compete in the global community. AEM works to accelerate economic growth, enable members to make highly informed business decisions and promote safe and efficient operations.

AGCO’s Robert Crain, SVP, customer experience, addresses attendees at AEM’s annual conference on November 11, 2021. Changes to the Board of Management of Deutz AG

The Supervisory Board of Deutz AG appointed Dr. Markus Müller as an additional member of the Board of Management of Deutz AG with effect from March 15, 2021. In his capacity as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Müller will be responsible for research and development (R&D).

Dr. Bernd Bohr, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutz AG:

“The appointment of Mr. Markus Müller to the Board of Management strengthens R&D, enabling Deutz to address the growing demands placed on drive technologies of the future even more effectively. We wish him every success in his new role.”

Markus Müller has spent more than 13 years at Deutz in total. He has been Senior Vice President of Development & Technical Customer Support since April 2018. In this role, he is responsible for research and development, electrification, and the central technical customer interface. He also worked for Deutz from 2006 to 2016, his most recent post being Head of R&D Systems Integration. Subsequently, he spent two years as Technical Managing Director at automotive supplier HJS Emission Technology. Müller originally trained as a motor vehicle mechanic before completing a master’s degree in mechanical engineering at RFH University of Applied Sciences in Cologne. He obtained a doctorate in engineering (Dr. Ing.) from the University of Rostock in 2011.

Dr. Frank Hiller, Chairman of the Board of Management of Deutz AG:

“I am delighted that, in Markus Müller, an expert from within the Company’s own ranks has been appointed to the Board of Management. He is very familiar with the market and the Company in equal measure. Together with our colleagues Mr. Sebastian Schulte and Mr. Michael Wellenzohn, we will successfully expand our E-Deutz strategy and our activities in China and will continue to implement our efficiency program.”

Dr. Schulte, who joined the board on January 1, 2021, took over the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) responsible for finance, human resources, purchasing, and information services on March 1 as planned. The former CFO, Dr. Andreas Strecker, had decided to leave the Company.

Cereals Canada to announce New Board and Executive

Cereals Canada is pleased to announce that on June 22, Members approved the slate of Directors that will guide the organization, which has been formed by the amalgamation of the heritage Cereals Canada and the Canadian International Grains Institute (Cigi).

The Board of Directors provides Cereals Canada with governance to steer the organization’s operations and ensure fiscal responsibility. They will lead a strategic planning process that will be undertaken this summer.

The Board of Directors has elected Todd Hames as Chair. Also elected to serve on the Executive Committee is Jennifer Marchand (Vice-Chair), Robert Misko (Treasurer), and Jean-Marc Ruest (Secretary).

“Each Director is passionate about the cereals value chain and brings to the table diverse experience and strategic knowledge to strengthen the organization’s impact in Canada and beyond. We are excited about the unique expertise that each individual brings to the table as we continue to evolve and lead the organization forward.”

The Board also selected the Governance Committee that will provide oversight for the governance policies of the organization, helping to ensure effective and appropriate Board functionality. The Members of the Governance Committee are, Jake Leguee, Henry Van Ankum, Jeff Bertholet, and, Jeff Cockwill.

“The next major step will be the appointment of a CEO for the amalgamated organization. The search process is now underway, with the Executive Committee serving as the search committee. The senior leadership team has the confidence of the Board and will continue to guide Cereals Canada through the ongoing integration process”

Christian Radons takes on global sales responsibility of Claas

Christian Radons will be joining the Group Executive Board at Claas with responsibility for the global Sales and Service division. He succeeds Bernd Ludewig, who will take on new activities outside the company.

“We would like to thank Bernd Ludewig for his successful development work as Regional Managing Director in Eastern Europe and his four years of committed service on the Group Executive Board. We are also very pleased that with Christian Radons, we have been able to internally recruit an experienced and imaginative manager for this important task.”

Radons has been part of the Claas Group for around 20 years now and initially held various commercial management positions, including that of Commercial Director when Claas Global Sales was launched. He was appointed Managing Director of the technology subsidiary Claas Agrosystems in 2012, which later became Claas E-Systems. This company was founded in 2014 during his time as managing director and moved into the newly built Electronics Development Centre in Dissen in 2017. Radons has headed up the sales region of Western Europe and Oceania as Regional Managing Director since October 2017 and has also led the sales region of Africa and the Middle East since 2019.
