The new ‘PLUS’ series balers are available with a range of intake systems, with a choice of Feeder Fork, PowerFeed rotor, 14 and 25 knife SuperCut chopping systems, and maximum bale sizes of 1.65m, 1.75, and 2.0m depending on the model.

Performance-enhancing upgrades include a redesigned roller crop press that is able to lift higher in large crops, while the side support arms have also been strengthened and incorporate improved limit stops. Enhanced protection against wrapping of crops is also provided for the bearings which have now been mounted inside the roller.

The 2.2m pick-up reel, which features twin-cam tracks and five tine bars, has also been given a makeover, with 10mm longer tines and wider strippers to improve cleaning in wet crop conditions. The pick-up drive chain has also been increased in size for added durability.

The driveline has received attention and is now equipped with new long-life HBC specification chains providing higher fatigue strength and increased wear resistance compared to the conventional chains. The bale chamber has not escaped attention either, with new design idler rollers which benefit from a 45% increase in bearing diameter, along with larger internal grease capacity and improved shielding. A continuous central shaft also provides enhanced rigidity.

The result is more than 38 projects that were presented during a briefing on December 20^th last year at Llotja de Lleida, and which was attended by every team that makes up Arcusin. Divided into 3 groups: customers and markets, machines and services, and internal organisation, each department presented an overview of its projects.

To round off the day with a smile, we took the opportunity to acknowledge the work of some of our colleagues and the prizes awarded were many and varied, such as for the “Best Partner”, the “Best Good Morning” or the “Most hard-working”.

Their first Hustler was purchased some 23 years ago on Russell’s family farm and the time has come for an update. We’re glad we could help with choosing another Hustler bale feeder that fits the operation and ticks all the boxes for Russell and his right hand Gary. Especially the accurate self-loading system of the Hustler Chainless TX205 has been an attractive feature for Russell.

Russell and Gary welcome us in Moa Creek, where they feed 1500-2000 bales between their family farm and a lease block. Their first Hustler bale feeder is still in operation after 23 years of service and according to Russell, “there only was the odd hick-up, mostly due to human error.” So they were happy to choose another Hustler bale processor when increasing the size of their operation, this time the latest generation Chainless TX205.
