Increased productivity

The HTH618C Series-III features twin lower delimb arms and a high-performance valve to ensure superior delimbing with agile and responsive log control – tackling a wide range of harvesting jobs. The maximum delimb opening of 660 mm (26 in.) can handle larger stems. Improved cutting performance and tilt control also contribute to increased productivity.

Low-powered base carriers will have improved processing output and productivity with improved feeding performance and feed motor options.

Simple servicing

With a new valve that simplifies serviceability, the HTH618C Series-III features improved hose routing, enhanced valve cover assembly and easier access to make quick work of servicing. Likewise, hose protection helps keep the head running and increases durability.

Easier access to the rear of the valve near the head module as well as inlet hoses also helps increase uptime while a larger oiler filler improves ease of filling bar and chain oil. Benefitting from direct customer input, the HTH618C Series-III has improved access and serviceability to help lower daily operating costs.

The Waratah HTH618C Series-III is currently available to customers in Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Asia Pacific, Brazil and Latin America.

Richard Lowe will retire from the company, which was founded in 1971, while Mary Lowe will remain with the business.

Richard Lowe added that Berlon’s commitment to maintaining the Lowe brand, people, and facilities was an important factor in the acquisition agreement. All staff at both Lowe Manufacturing and Berlon Industries will be retained.

The acquisition includes the Spiral Metals, LLC, division of Lowe Manufacturing, which specializes in non-standard helicoid flighting, sectional flighting, and conveyor screws. The spiral products are used within Lowe’s attachments and sold to outside customers.

Innovation, product quality, and extensive knowledge of the use of buckets and attachments have been key aspects of the success and growth of both Berlon Industries and Lowe Manufacturing. That innovation includes Berlon’s “Snowgrr” which adds tremendous efficiency in snow removal at distribution centers, its Material Long Bucket for removing material underneath conveyors and other equipment, and Lowe’s XR Series of trenchers.

Bobcat Company introduces an all-new, ultra-durable snowblower attachment that will make quick work of even the most unrelenting winter drifts. With an increased intake height and bigger auger to draw more snow into the blower, operators will be able to clear more flakes in less time.

“Our snowblower attachments easily become an operator’s best friend during the winter – which for many areas of the country, can last up to several months. We’ve enhanced this latest model as the ultimate snow-handling attachment, helping clear snow faster and more efficiently, allowing operators to make fewer passes for quick area cleaning,”

Equipped with nine different width options and numerous motor packages, the Bobcat snowblower attachments provide owners with a perfect match for their loader models, as well as for the application, from wide-open sites like driveways and parking lots to narrow spaces like sidewalks.

The snowblower features an ultra-durable direct-drive, sprocket-style chute rotation, which improves the performance, durability, and ease of maintenance. It enables operators to point snow in virtually any direction and place it wherever the job requires – even in hard-to-reach places such as the middle of lawns, in ditches, or inside wooded areas along a path. It is powerful enough to break through ice buildup and eliminates chains, which can rust, loosen or break. The chute delivers 270 degrees of rotation for a wide range of accurate snow placement possibilities, which is a 15-degree increase over previous designs.

The chute’s rounded intake provides a smoother surface to roll the snow into the feed impeller, rather than pushing it. This design minimizes clogging and reduces resistance for improved snow flow through the attachment, and better productivity. The optional truck-loading chute allows the operator to place snow high into a truck and simplify hauling. High-flow models capture extra available hydraulic horsepower from the carrier, which enables clearing through the deepest drifts and heaviest snow while throwing it farther.

An additional feature includes easily adjustable skid shoes which are mounted to the sides of the snowblower, allowing operators to raise or lower the clearing depth to match the surface of the job site. They not only make it easy to maintain ground alignment, but they can also help guide operators along curbs or walls – while preventing contact with the snowblower itself. Designed for long-wear life and easily replaceable, the new skid shoes provide long-wearing durability and superior control.

Breakers are a flexible and crucial attachment used for a wide variety of jobs, including tunneling, trenching, foundation removal, dredging, bridge demolition, quarry excavation, mining, and more. To meet growing demand in North America, Komatsu is expanding its product line of hydraulic breakers. Designed and tested for compatibility with Komatsu excavators from the PC78 up to the PC490, the high-percussion efficiency and unique variable energy technology of these breakers are built to provide high production in multiple applications.

To protect the breaker, carrier, and operator, Komatsu has several built-in several features and benefits. The breakers have an accumulator that eliminates hydraulic pump cavitation to prevent flow surges back to the carrier hydraulic tank. Adding to longevity and durability, blank firing protection is standard and includes a hydraulic cushion at the base of the cylinder, to reduce metal-to-metal contact. Larger models feature special key slot dampers that help reduce vibration to the excavator, adding to operator comfort.

The simple design of the JTHB-G hydraulic breakers translates to reduced maintenance and fewer parts to buy, which helps lower equipment-running costs. A one-year warranty comes with all G-series breakers and also applies to breakers used for mining and quarry applications.

JMHB-H line of breakers

Compact yet powerful, the JMHB-H attachments are accumulator-type hydraulic breakers for a variety of rock and concrete demolition applications. Unlike gas-fired breakers, the JMHB-H series does not require a nitrogen recharge. Rather, they come equipped with blank firing protection to help prevent piston movement via a hydraulic brake.

For consistent impact power in a variety of environments, sound dampening housings help assure compliance with noise ordinances, even in urban applications. The breaker protects itself with a patented pressure regulator valve to prevent overflow, and its dampening system helps prevent damage to excavator booms and housing cracks.

To enable the use of more powerful breakers on smaller excavators, a single power cell eliminates heavy tie rods to provide a better weight-to-power ratio on compact models, while the mounted automatic lubrication feature helps protect against dust and debris. Farmers are a solution-focused bunch and because this is the first attachment of its kind on the market, some of them had to previously make their own side extensions. Hustler contacted a handful of those inventors and worked together with them to develop a solution, that would satisfy the need for trough feeding with a conventional chain bale feeder.

The side chute has an adjustable angle for the operator to fine-tune delivery and reach. Although the side chute will work for balage with some operator adjustments, Hustler does recommend you use it for dry hay, short chopped grass, grain, and root-crops for best results.
