<p class="v1MsoNormal">Prior to joining Aceinna, Mr. Appelman was VP and GM of the depth-sensing division of ON Semiconductor where he led the team responsible for the adoption of low light sensors in LiDAR and successfully secured early customers designs in automotive, medical, and industrial markets for the divisions sensing product portfolio.</p>
<p class="v1MsoNormal"><span style="background-color: #00ff00;">He joined ON Semiconductor in May 2018 through the acquisition of SensL Technologies, where he was VP of worldwide sales and marketing responsible for the company&#8217;s business strategy since 2012. </span></p>

<p class="v1MsoNormal">Wade has extensive experience in both private and public sector organizations having served in senior leadership roles driving sales and marketing efforts for five venture-backed startups with total exit valuations of $900 million. Select highlights include the network processor pioneer, Sitera (acquired by Vitesse), Zagros (acquired by Altera), and Lightstorm Networks (acquired by Broadcom).</p>
<p class="v1MsoNormal">Mr. Appelman has also served in a leadership role in three publicly traded corporations. In addition to ON Semiconductor, he led product marketing for Cabletron&#8217;s $1B switches and routing division, and Vitesse Semiconductor&#8217;s product marketing and product management for the 500-employee Advanced Networking Products Division. He has a B.S. from Wagner College in New York, NY.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h3 class="v1MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;" align="center">New Open-Source Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), providing 3D acceleration, 3D rate, and optional 3D magnetic field for Machine Guidance and Control applications in Construction, Agriculture, and Autonomous Equipment.</h3>
<p class="v1MsoNormal"><strong>Aceinna</strong> announced the general availability of the <strong>OpenIMU335RI</strong>, a <strong>rugged inertial measurement unit (IMU)</strong> with <strong>CAN</strong> and <strong>RS232 interfaces</strong>. The OpenIMU335RI is the third product in Aceinna’s Gen 3 architecture and adds a rugged sealed standalone product to the earlier introduced IMU383ZA and OpenIMU330BI.</p>
<p class="v1MsoNormal">It delivers increased performance in key acceleration and gyro specifications. The OpenIMU335RI delivers best in class performance, including 1.3 degrees per hour bias instability (BI) and 0.1 degrees per root hour Angle Random Walk, making it ideal for 3DMG (3 Dimensional Machine Guidance), 3DMC (3 Dimensional Machine Control), and other applications requiring high-performance inertial measurements.</p>
<p class="v1MsoNormal">Aceinna’S OpenIMU335RI and all Aceinna’s Gen 3 products, are triple redundant &#8211; consisting of three independent 3-Axis Accelerometers and 3-Axis Gyros. <span style="background-color: #00ff00;">The redundancy in Aceinna’s Gen 3 products provides increased performance in key acceleration and rate sensor characteristics and increased reliability and equipment uptime in the field</span>. Aceinna has implemented a proprietary algorithm that detects a failing sensor and automatically and seamlessly eliminates it from the solution, allowing equipment to continue normal operation using the remaining sensors.</p>

<p class="v1MsoNormal">OpenIMU335RI is packaged in a rugged sealed housing with an Ampseal 16, 6 position connector. It includes CAN J1939 and RS232 interfaces for network connectivity. The miniature housing is formed using an over-molding process delivering a completely sealed solution that prevents any possible water ingress and is durable under tough environmental conditions. <span style="background-color: #00ff00;">It is specified to work from an unregulated 9 V – 32 V supply and is fully qualified for use in 12 V and 24 V vehicle systems. A 3D magnetic field sensor is available as an option for applications requiring 9-DOF IMUs</span>.</p>

<p class="v1Default">The OpenIMU335RI uses a powerful ARM M4 CPU with a Floating Point Unit.  The OpenIMU335RI module runs the OpenIMU open-source stack that includes an optimized full-state Kalman Filter for Attitude and GPS-Aided Position-Velocity-Time (PVT) measurement. For developers, the open-source environment allows for algorithm optimization for a specific vehicle or application dynamics and custom messaging. A free development tool-chain based on Microsoft VS Code supports PC, MAC, and Ubuntu. Data logging and visualization are supported with Aceinna Navigation Studio, a free web-based graphical user interface.</p>
<p class="v1MsoNormal">The new OpenIMU335RI is available for purchase from Aceinna directly as well as from our network of worldwide distribution partners.</p>

<p class="v1MsoNormal">The OpenIMU330LI Module is a very compact, low cost, state-of-the-art, high-performance RTK/GNSS receiver with built-in triple-redundant inertial sensors. The development kits are available for purchase directly through Aceinna or at one of Aceinna’s authorized Distributors.</p>
<p class="v1MsoNormal">Instead of wasting time building and debugging prototype hardware and firmware, <span style="background-color: #00ff00;">Aceinna ’s OpenRTK330LI EVK provides the essential hardware, firmware, and development environment that engineers working on autonomous applications need to quickly start developing algorithms and solutions</span>.  Within minutes of receiving the OpenRTK330LI EVK, engineers can be logging and visualizing positioning data with centimeter precision.</p>

<p class="v1MsoNormal">Development of custom positioning and localization solutions with the OpenRTK330LI is supported by Aceinna Navigation Studio, and MS VS-Code by installing the free Aceinna extension. Customers can use Aceinna ’s position engine or develop and implement their own in the open-source framework. Source code and libraries for the OpenRTK330LI module are available on GitHub.</p>
<p class="v1MsoNormal">At the heart of Aceinna ’s OpenRTK330LI EVK is the <strong>OpenRTK330LI Evaluation board</strong> (<strong>EVB</strong>). The EVB provides built-in RJ45 Ethernet, Micro-USB, Bluetooth, SWD/JTAG Interface, SPI, UART, CAN, SMA, power, and 1PPS out connections, simplifying access to the OpenRTK330LI module installed on the EVB, and enabling quick and convenient connection to a PC and access to RTK correction data via the internet.  <span style="background-color: #00ff00;">The OpenRTK330Li EVK can monitor all major global constellations (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS) and simultaneously track up to 80 channels</span>.</p>

OpenARC is Aceinna ’s precise positioning platform that provides secure GNSS corrections powered by a dense RTK network and cloud-based architecture.</p>

<p class="v1MsoNormal"><strong>Aceinna</strong> announced a partnership with <strong>Point One Navigation</strong>, a leader delivering precise positioning for the next generation of transportation.  The strategic partnership enables a streamlined positioning platform that combines Point One’s Polaris GNSS cloud correction service with Aceinna’s <strong>OpenRTK330 hardware and software solution</strong> for developers in agriculture, construction, mapping, surveying, robotics, and trucking.</p>
<p class="v1MsoNormal"><span style="background-color: #008000;">The GNSS correction service market shows great promise yet is presently hampered by some lingering problems</span>.  These include the nuisance of managing separate commercial/support relationships for hardware and subscriptions, difficulty integrating solutions between such providers, lack of consistency in resulting accuracy compared with what is advertised, resistance to supporting all application sizes from single unit to high volume, the absence of a coast-to-coast network from a single provider, and stubbornly high pricing for the service in general.</p>
<p class="v1MsoNormal">Aceinna and Point One are solving these problems by delivering the most reliable, turn-key, and affordable GNSS correction solution on the market.  Customers will be able to purchase the fully integrated hardware and streaming service directly from Aceinna and its distribution partners versus seeking out a provider on their own.  Activation and authentication will be streamlined thanks to extensive backend server synchronization between Aceinna and Point One.  True centimeter-level accuracy will be attainable and powered by the integration of Point One’s coast-to-coast Polaris network and Aceinna’s OpenRTK platform.  Finally, aggressive pricing will be offered to support all deployment levels, from a single unit and up to a large scale.  The combined offering will be available for purchase beginning in December 2020.</p>

<p class="v1MsoNormal"><strong>Aceinna </strong>announced the availability of their new <strong>Aceinna OpenIMU ROS Driver</strong> for developers of <strong>robots</strong> and <strong>robotic applications</strong>.</p>
<p class="v1MsoNormal"><u></u><strong>James Fennelly</strong>, <strong>Product Marketing Manager – Inertial Systems at Aceinna</strong>, says:</p>

When combined with our IMU&#8217;s industry-leading reliability and accuracy, as well as very competitive pricing (under $100), developers of robotic solutions finally have an easily integrated, rock-solid solution for their navigation and localization challenges.&#8221;</p>

<p class="v1MsoNormal"><u></u><u></u><u></u>Available on the Sensors Page at ROS.org and GitHub this new driver enables robotic application developers to quickly and easily integrate highly accurate (&lt;1.5°/hr) IMU&#8217;s into their navigation guidance systems.</p>
<p class="v1MsoNormal"><u></u><u></u><u></u>The new ROS Driver currently works with the Aceinna&#8217;s versatile OpenIMU family, which includes the OpenIMU300ZI, OpenIMU300RI, and OpenIMU330BI. Each sensor has its own distinct hardware features, allowing the user several options for their unique application. The open-source nature of this architecture makes each device highly configurable as well. <span style="background-color: #008000;">Aceinna&#8217;s OpenIMU&#8217;s have several software applications available, with source code available via Github and the Aceinna Extension on Microsoft Visual Studio Code</span>. Software applications include IMU, VG-AHRS, and INS.</p>
<p class="v1MsoNormal"><u></u><u></u><u></u>Extremely compact, Aceinna&#8217;s IMUs integrate a triple-redundant architecture, that, when combined with their small, low-cost packaging, meets the challenging performance, reliability, and cost requirements of the robotic and autonomous market.</p>

<p>The new positioning module supports all global constellations, including GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS, NavIC, and SBAS, alongside the L1, L2, and L5 bands to provide cm level GNSS accuracy via RTK.</p>
<p>The <strong>OpenRTK330L</strong> includes a triple-redundant three-axis MEMS gyroscope and three-axis MEMS accelerometer for dead reckoning.<span style="background-color: #008000;"> This positioning solution for autonomous vehicles only utilizes valid sensor data and any defective sensor outputs can safely be ignored. This ensures that high accuracy dead reckoning is maintained where GNSS signals are unavailable. </span>The <strong>OpenRTK330L</strong> is offered in an commercial version and as an ASIL B certified module.</p>

<p>Aceinna is a supplier of high-performance inertial sensor modules to John Deere&#8217;s operation in Fargo, ND.</p>
<p>Suppliers who participate in the Achieving Excellence program are evaluated annually in several key performance categories, including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness. John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement.</p>
