SIMOL, established in 1960 near Reggio Emilia (Italy), has been for over 60 years the leader in design and manufacture of jacks, jockey wheels and landing legs for the agricultural, construction and airport sectors. SIMOL currently operates through two offices (Luzzara Headquarter and SIMOL USA Corp.) in 50 countries around the world.
SIMOL introduces today the new SIMOL-Q range of jacks, the first fully certified range of jacks according to ISO/ASABE 12140 standard.
The ASABE/ISO 12140 standard for agricultural machinery, agricultural trailers and trailed equipment is focused on mechanically or hydraulically operated telescopic jacks, used to support and lift equipment in agricultural machinery.
The standard defines the technical terms, indicates the functional, safety and reliability requirements, lists the information needed for marking, establishes the test procedures for certification of compliance and specifies the fitting, use, inspection and maintenance information.
Applying the experimental verification criteria introduced by the standard permits certification of the jacks’ quality as a whole, through mechanical strength tests and long-term reliability and functionality tests.
To this end, in partnership with the University of Bologna, Simol designed and manufactured a test rig that allows to test the performance of the jacks subjecting them to the strength tests established by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE).
The standard lists the information needed for marking the jack, guaranteeing the manufacturer and the end user the maximum safety, certified.
Choosing a product from the Q range is issued a certificate stating all the tests performed on the jack. All the tests to which our products are exposed take place in our facilitiesin order to meet all the functional, safety and reliability requirements imposed by the regulation.
This allows the manufacturer and end user to measure all the technical specifications of the product, making SIMOL-Q the first choice of the world’s leading agricultural machinery manufacturers.
