The Red Dot Design competition is one of the largest and most respected design competitions in the world. More than 6,300 submissions from 59 countries entered this year’s contest and were evaluated by a jury consisting of 40 independent design experts from around the globe.
The Competition was launched in the 1950s and awards are given in three categories: Product Design, Communication Design and Design Concept. This year’s Red Dot Design Award will be presented on July 9 at the Aalto Theatre in Essen, Germany.
Valtra’s recent awards provide a solid basis and legitimacy for the company’s own worldwide design competition, which was launched at the SIMA Show in Paris in February last year. The annual Valtra Design Competition of this year will be launched in April, 16th. It is open to design students, individual designers and design studios worldwide. The aim of the competition is to seek the views of designers regarding the tractor of the future and how they can help agriculture become more efficient and environmentally friendly. The three best proposals will be announced and awarded in EIMA Show, November 2018. More information: www.valtra.com/designchallenge.
